Great ride, great read! White-knuckled along with you while reading this one, and shared your relief to be past Montreal. Laughed out loud with your description of French conversation difficulties, can relate to that too. Route verte sounds amazing - like a calm oasis, a welcome change from no shoulders, crumbling white lines and heavy car traffic. Looking forward to your next instalment!
Love it!!! Just love the stories connecting the dots of adventure. Hills....rain...wind...waves....cold....yup. Pretty much sounds like Northern Ontario along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Glad you are enjoying the ride! Hugs to you both!!
So glad to hear you survived Montreal! Can’t wait to hear the details but for some reason I was particularly worried about you getting through Montreal. We had a wild time driving through it in a late spring snowstorm 42 years ago coming back from Newfoundland so no doubt that has coloured my perceptions. You are both doing so well, very proud of you and can’t wait for a ukulele concert this summer. Xoxo
My Summer Reading I was complaining to my Mom that I hadn't read a good book lately.. well.. no problem!.. the Mike and Michele story continues ! Absolutely love the story.. thank you both!
Hi from Silver Islet Hi Mike, Michelle,
Mike, I am sorry to say that I drove past you as you headed up the road on your first day. Had I know it was you beginning your journey I would certainly have given a thumbs up. I really enjoyed reading this post about all your adventures so far. Please keep them coming. Good luck to both of you. Keep safe and have a great time.
So happy to hear about your adventures on your blog again. Thinking of you both often and crossing my fingers the weather will be good for you. Raining today on St Margaret's Bay but has been beautiful otherwise. Take care, love Judy and Ray
Amazed!!!!!! Wow,what a neat start! Love the humour, you two are quite the team! I well remember most of those town names from the soo onwards, esp from the last time that Dad, Judy and I made a short trip to Rosedale in 1962 from SI. Best of weather, roads and bicycling from now onwards.

Super It's a new adventure this year by doing this big bike ride from Ontario to Newfoundland. Hope everything will going well for you. Hope you nice weather. So keep going. I'll leave for France June 25.
I think you should just keep going.. to the east coast!.. what will I read over my morning coffee if you don't continue! Just loving your adventure.. so proud of you both.
Ha Great post. You have made me laugh hard. Clearly your trip continues to meet or better your expectations and turn into the wonderful adventure you hoped it would. Renewing, I am sure your faith in the basic goodness of mankind (or at least some part of it.) Keep them coming!
Page -turner! Wow Michael, only you can turn a travel blog into a page-turner! I am so happy to follow your and Michele's delightful adventure. Keep up the great work both on the road and on the page!
Happy eyes! So enjoying your blog. Have driven this trip, so know how challenging it is. And beautiful. A wonderful feeling when your "eyes" are happy...and also wonderful that at the end of your rides, Michelle is there. Hugs to you both.
Hello Hi You two
Just want to say how much we enjoyed our time with you. If I understand correctly you are back on the road. Bill and I are heading back to the lake tomorrow. Hope all is well and your travel is going well. We will be in touch again when we return to civilization.
Loving the Adventure This is the best.. coffee in the morning and travels with M&M! Glad to hear the bum is getting a rest and Michele was not stolen by the Stepford wives. My love to both of you!
Recap Your description is so wonderful. If smell could be transmitted via internet we could transform completely and we right at your side . Great job hello to Michele
Way to Go So envious. Not enough people follow their dreams. Maybe due to health, finances, family etc. Hope the two of you are having the time of your life. Enjoy every minute as these will be the stories that you will tell your grandchildren.
Michele & Mike's Great Adventure! Congratulations Michael on beginning your great adventure to bicycle across Canada. I have no doubt in my mind that you will accomplish you goals because you have such an amazing support person in Michele backing you up along the way. Go team! We look forward to reading your progress and stories. Thank you both for sharing - it is way more fun to hear BOTH sides of the stories!
