nice fish Is that toothy fish what I think it is?
The entries and photos have been great; can't believe it has been 8 weeks already. I'll miss the updates. Though maybe you can keep a Chicago blog (pretty exotic to a provincial easterner).
See you in Michigan I guess? I am around til the 12th.

Brian, it is so nice reading your travel log. I feel like I’m there with you. It’s a great escape from the daily grind at the clinic. Also, congratulations on passing the Bar.
Tudo bem? Brian,
Glad to hear that things went well in BH. Fernanda and Rachel enjoyed meeting you as well.
Next time get the Footprint Guide on Brazil. It's much better.
hey Liked the surprise. Spontaneity is good.
Keep up the interesting pics and commentaries. Very interesting to see this land Elizabeth Bishop loved and lived for so much of her life.

Cheers to you! I love your blog and look forward to catching up on the past entries. Your pictures make me both green with envy and inspired to go off and travel again like a tumbleweed in the wind ;) Seriously, enjoy the beach. It's snowing today here in Ann Arbor!

Wonderful I learned more about your trips in one evening than I did talking to you. I throughly enjoyed this. Since I will no longer be taking any large travel trips--well, Thanks.
Prices are in US$. Plus, you get the sales tax back at the airport if you bring the receipt. I think its 19% or so, so its pretty sizeable. Anyways, I forgot about that and threw my receipts in the trash.
Shopping, taxis and food are still really cheap in Buenos Aires. Hotel prices aren´t as reasonable as they were a few years ago. I was paying $100 a night for a good, but not great place.
This is so much more than a travel blog, it is a window to a place most of us will never see- and a window into the heart of the person who wrote it. a colorful slice of life- I want to read more!
