We left LA on August 1 and arrived in Taiwan August 2. Twelve hours in flight and the kids did well watching TV and playing games. Mike's cousin Martin picked us up and we headed straight to the Jhong-Li Night Market at 10pm Taiwan time - basically the night time swap meet! Now imagine 8 people in a Honda CRV! Yes, 4 adults and 4 kids. They also brought us boba nai cha (milk tea) and some fried chicken & squid snacks (which Mike doesn't know how to say in Mandarin)! Yummy appetizer!
