I am from India, and being fond of travelling, have travelled extensively across - India, not world. Since not born very rich(not very poor too) and still breaking out in life(just a young guy), the dreams of seeing the world still remain dreams, and hopes.
Luckily , for the travelling trait in me, God has put me in a country which is in fact a little world in this world. People vary, regions vary, traits vary, looks vary, religions and castes vary and the traditions, beliefs vary, languages vary, so much quite often that one feels that one is in a different environment, different country. You can even get quite hostile receptions too in some parts of the country - this is too true for an Indian, not for a foreigner, since a foreigner is a different entity to all the people and quite a good number of Indians remain at alert always to ingratiate them, rest of the others remain simply polite to them. A foriegner here reminds me of the incident of T.E.Lawrence when he had to kill one of the Arab party even though he was not party to the fracas, since his act of killing brought the element of cold impersonality among warring Arab castes, for whom the individual was wrapped up in the caste totally.
I never knew about a site which afforded travel journals, so didn't write on the net ever. So, now I am going to regale you with some of my past travels, and of course with all the ones which I will be doing in the future.
Anybody eager to know more about my country can email me always, I may be of help some times ( though not always since I look at a place from two perspectives, the tourist's and inherently, the Indian's - there are some tourists who do not look from the tourist's perspective, as for example some who keep on whining about dirtyness or Delhi belly, and I don't think that my Indian perspective would be of much help). To make the matter more concise, since I am an Indian, I can never have a "Delhi belly", whatever that means, so its useless to ask something from me on such matters.
