Great Blog Mandy, you write a wonderful blog. Its so much fun to read and the pictures were great! I'm sure Shannon is missing you terribly :) and Meredith and Jeremy too. Glad you guys enjoyed the trip. You do have very special parents!
adventures I didn't want to disappoint so....as adventures go, this one I am sure held suprises. We always think the ones that we planned are the best but here's to hoping for you that the one that was unplanned becomes the catalyst for the happiness that you deserve. Love you
Lucky kids! Those were some lucky kids that got the "ultimate world traveler" as guide to their first glimpse of seeing the world! I'm sure you inspired them to travel smart and to live like a local! Where to next?
I need more blogs! I miss your blogs :( Came across your blog and realized you haven't been blogging for awhile! Maybe you can blog about the 1st week of school or something?!? :) You have a real gift for blogging (and being really funny and smart in them), so don't quit doing it!! Hope all is going well in school and life. See you in October!!
every now and then.. ..i come across this little blog of yours. i like the way you write and think, and i want to go on record saying that you should TRAVEL that little bottom of yours out to DC! i saw carol and tim this weekend and basically told them you were coming within the month. so get on it girl!
Yes! Sarah made the blog! :) Lucy and I were out walking around St. Louis when the two of your were traversing through China and we commented on how adventurous you two are.
Mandy, Lucy said you should become the writer/editor of a travel guide and I agree. You've had a good start with this blog! Can't wait 'til 18 months are up!
The pictures are wonderful and most of the time a smile is on your face. I hope that you always remember China with a smile. I believe Amanda has more adventures in her and if you are not careful...you may be invited on her next journey. It is funny how nothing is ever what is seems and is never exactly the same each time we remember it either. You are a brave soul to pick China as your first venture out of the USA. Mrs. Ahrens
YOU LOOK STUNNING!!!!! Mandy, You look stunning in green and with your bangs back like that. To die for !!! You look so happy!!! Well I guess it is on to your next adventure. Have fun with Sara. Love ya, Aunt Diana
WOW!! Hey Mandi, That was a very fast year and now you'll be on to your next adventure before you know it. Can't let that moss grow! Michele's Aaron graduated from High School Wed, 5-23-07. Now that ought to make you feel old! I know I sure do!!! Lots of Love, Aunt Diana
i'm baaack Mandy_ finally able to take a break from work work work at my new job to catch up on your blog. Can't believe I won't be able to visit you before you leave. Hate how the timing did not work out. for the whole year. . . but I really do need to brush up on my Chinese anyway, which let's be honest, could take years in itself :)
Agree! Chinese local tours are really shitty... u are better off planning this on your own. What is the point of going to Hainan, a beach resort and not be on the beach?
ooooooh! Oh wow Ms. Ahrens! I feel so sad knowing you were hurt, but I guess all is well now. I think the teachers possess such characteristics because of their culture. They are able to reach out to the students in a way foreigners can't (I should know that!)
it's funny, because i feel like i know what you would tell me if i were in your shoes "there is no wrong choice" sound familiar?
and you know that countdown isn't just for your mom!
