Happy Hallooween and Big Applause!! So, I applaud you 100% and THAT'S MY GIRL! From one world traveler to another, I think living in a foreign country is one of the best things a person can do. And, especially if you embrace life, learn from the culture, share your own, take each day with a childlike wonderment and above all HAVE FUN! And keep up the Zumba!! Love and Hugs - Auntie
Hola Amanda!!
Great first blog, so glad you are having such an exciting first encounter. You are a gypsy just like me I think....have a great time, eat all that wonderful food and walk it off...lol Miss you already, guess I better plan my trip to come and visit....
I got a grant from the Spanish consulate and will be living in Santiago de Compostela for the next year, which is in the state of Galicia (up north). I am working as an auxiliar (language assistant) in a highschool with students ranging in the ages of 11-15, helping them with English. I'm in 3 subject classes, all taught in English: Music, Geography, and History; as well, I'm in 3 different levels of English, 1st year, 2nd year, and 4th year. I'll be working 12 hours a week at my school; the rest of my time will hopefully be spent travelling Spain and Europe!
