In Touch I love the hats. Reminds me of some of Mother's, Aunt Mags, when she was being stylish. Wow, did she have some great hats. You look Fabulous Darling.
Love To All,
Paula Sue
How exciting I love your pictures and comments. You are right England is amazing. The history is everywhere. Your pics are great and I have enjoyed them.
Picture This Dear Allie,
Well, you may be gazing at the sights of London, but we just beheld Nana in her shorty pajamas! What a sight! She continues to be in good spirits and is staying close to the air conditioner with the 103 degree heat we enjoyed today. Nana loves the pictures and is so excited to share in the blog. It is a treat for all of us. Thanks to everyone for all the good work. I hope you all enjoy every minute.
Love,
Bridget
Like a pendulum do. Dear Allie,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share the photos. We are loving it!! Riding the "Eye" must be incredible! We are so glad that you are seeing the sights and enjoying London. It is a delightful city, and I am sure that it's charms are not lost on you. Have a grand time!
We have been having fun here, too. I had a little come-meet-my-significant-mother party and Nana partied on. Whoo hoo!! Betty is having fun with Stovepipe and Gadget, though Stovepipe is having some boundary issues. Good thing she responds to crate therapy so well.
Nana has amazed me with her tolerance for the trip. She gets plenty of rest, and that is truly the key. We manage to have good fun in the waking moments.
The "Harry Potter" encounter sounds way cool. We are sooo excited to see the new movie! Most of what we see on the TV these days involves Michael Jackson. He deserves a decent tribute, but the American press has gone overboard once again. It seems we haven't had decent reporting since the press glut on O.J. Simpson.
Well, "Tally-ho!"
Love,
Boo
The pics are great Enjoying the pictures, lots to see, will you make it to London? Also need some pics of all of you, that way you have proof you were there. lol. Have lots of fun all is well here in Okc, Murray and I are now buddies, I sing him rock a bye baby and rock him in my arms, he wraps his paws around my neck and lays his head on my shoulder. He is so cute. Enjoy your trip.
Great Travel Blog Enjoying your excellent narrative and terrific professional-grade pictures. Thanks for taking the time to share this trip with your Chadbrooke neighbor. Congratulations to John and his team, and congratulations to you and your Mom on your choice of hats. No doubt that was a daunting task. Dad looks composed as always and dashing as well.
Priscilla said a brief storm with 60 mph winds (she believes everything Gary England says) came through Saturday evening while I was in Kansas City and lightning struck nearby. Priss is convinced the lightning struck somewhere on 129th because it set off your car alarm and the neighborhood lost power for about 40 minutes. I guess your car alarm reset itself, but Priscilla freaked with my four UPS’s beeping relentlessly until the batteries finally drained. :-)
Just thought I’d give y’all a heads up on the power loss, in case anyone has an early appointment upon your return because your clocks will be 40 minutes slow. Priss said she saw Sandra come down and check the place to be sure all was okay.
Greatly relieved! Just got back from Tahoe and was catching up on your blog(great, by the way)and was a little concerned about all the grave sites you "needed" to see. But this entry has set my mind at ease. J/K Hope you all are having a great trip!! Hello to the rents and to John. Timmye
Re: Nap time! Fred, that is actually a woman. I took the picture because she was literally lying face down in the grass at the Botanic Gardens. Perhaps a little too much bubbly...
Nap Time! In the photo entitled "Nap Time!", is that your dad and if so, was he napping or passed out? Inquiring minds want to know.
Great blog Allie and send along congrats to John.
Cheers, Fred and All
P.S. Check out Paul's travel blog sometime (The Mustache Diaries).
Not Yacking! Just to let yo know, that is NOT a cell phone to my ear! I am listening to a recorded guide of Stonehendge.
How many of you thought of the movie, "Spinal Tap" when you saw the Stonehendge pictures?
Happy Trails Through the Looking Glass Dear Allile,
So glad you were able to break away and see some sights. Solo trips are neat when you are keen to observe. Your pictures are wonderful.
We have had a good day. Everyone slept late and then we watched "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington." Jimmy Stewart was so great in that role. I made a red, white and blue fruit salad and we took it to some friends for dinner and then came back here to watch "Rachel Getting Married." It is an interesting movie, but not exactly a Nana type film. The music in that movie is really cool, but all the emotions are brutal. Have you seen it?
So, are the MIT's finished with their deal?
Hope you have fun on your explorations. You were truly elegant in your hat.
Maggie says hello and that she hopes there are watermelons in the United Kingdom, as she herself has eaten nearly a whole one today in celebration of the 4th of July.
Love,
Bridget and Maggie and Nana and Stovepipe and Gadget and Betty Boop
Hot Pink Pants They stopped women with short skirts from going in, but they let a man with hot pink pants in? Go figure.. What no pictures of Jen in her hat?
Cheerio M.High Tea! We are jazzed about the success of the team and hope that tomorrow brings even more victories. Hey, Jen! Did you decide on a hat? John, you are a powerhouse and your team is so lucky to have you. Allie, thanks for the blog! It has been a source of great joy for us. Allen, has everything been moving along alright for you? All of you look really handsome in your glad rags.
Nana loves you all and sends her regards. Hope the weather cools down for you tomorrow.
Row John! Dear John,
Nana and Maggie and I are rooting for you!!! We love the pictures! You all look so distinguished. We are just proud to know you.
Love,
Boo
Great hats I really like the hats. Do you have to buy them? Maybe you could rent a hat, you know like men rent a tux. Well if you have to buy a hat you can always hang it with the rest of the hat collection.
Tell John we are all cheering him on from OKC.
