beautiful and poetic I love your words and images!
The "washed up" photo is especially wonderful - I don't think I've ever felt cuddly toward a starfish before this photo! I hope you threw it back in.
More photos, please!
Love,
Momma
Thinking of you. After reading your posts it is clear that you are enjoying yourself out there. We wish we could be there with you and get out of our normal routine.....work....school.....kids.....work......school......kids. You know how it goes. We sure do miss you and think of you often. It is good to hear that you finally found a great place to work and are enjoying your surroundings. We would love to see more pictures very soon.

Happy 4th I'm sorry to hear about Moon, I know she had a great life and was loved. I am very happy to hear you are enjoying Cali. I would like to see some pictures of the camp and redwoods.
peaceful passing I had a hard time letting go and believing Lois that Moon really was suffering to the point of needing to be put down. I woke up around 5 Thurs morning and sat with her for a while. She was whining in her sleep, something she did a lot of in the last few months. I went back to sleep and Lois didn't wake me when she took her to the vet. Around 9:05 I woke up and thought Moon was in the room and woke me up. Then I remembered and I wondered if she came to say goodbye.
Lo was home shortly after and confirmed that was the time she died - with her head in Lois' lap. Lois cried telling me about petting her and talking to her and how sweet the vet was. The vet said she was 90% blind, had tumors and hip dysplacia and it really was time for her to go.
So many feelings. I miss her. I also feel relief. It was so hard wanting to help her and still she was suffering. Missing Moon also really makes me miss you.
I'm so glad you had her steady, sweet presence all these years.
I'll always remember the two of you together.
I love you!
Mom
Hey Girl Hey Aleta,
We are glad to hear that you are excited about the new job and location. I'm sure you will have fun and if not there's always another door right around the corner. It has been really hot out here. We just got back from Michigan for a wedding......never care if we go back there again! We would love to see more pictures. The Redwoods are absolutely beautiful and I would love to go back and see them. We hope you keep safe and we are praying for you. When you get a few seconds, drop us a few lines.
All our love,
Phillip and Linne'
Hello stranger I just got off the phone with nikon those idiots. It is on it's way home to your moms but it will be about 2 wks so I can't bring it to you sorry. When I get home I will ship it off to ya. Take care.
Sitting here in my 12x 12 cubicle daydreaming that I was out there with you. Worried about you, but know you can kick butt when you need to. Hang in there...I love ya. Lobear Hey have you seen any bears by the way?
We Miss YOU!! Hey Girl,
We were just sitting here with Bill looking over the pictures of his trip and they were absolutely wonderful! As far as getting up at 5:30 AM, we feel for you...NOT! All we have to say is welcome to the real world...or a dive trip in Bonaire! Linne' has decided that Curacao is our next dive trip destination...they promise sea horses! We are booking our trip for the 2nd to the 9th of August...can you go with?? Well, if you can't we'll be thinking of you fondly as Linne' rides the sea horses and Phillip rides Bill! ;) Just kidding...about the August part, but Linne's ready to go!
Be safe and we'll talk to you soon!
Love ya,
Phillip, Linne', and Bill
Get a sun lamp ...It will gaurd your heart's cheer against the damp dismal rain! I'm serious, I consider light-bathing in dreary weather to be a life-saver. I love you! (P.S. It really is good practice to drain the fryer with every use, it's not merely an OCD behavior. )
I wish I were there. Things are pretty much the same here, janices cats are really messy. I didn't realize how much work this was going to be. I don't understand how two cats can produce that amount of vomit, hairballs, and crap on a daily basis. I swear they produce more of this crap by weight than I feed them. It's unexplainable. It's been getting to point of unbearably hot here. you should mail me some snow.
Wish I was there Even with the weather conditions it looks awesome Aleta! I know you'll have a amazing experience, thanks for sharing it all. Love, love, love you
way to go Finally figured out how to access the blog-I am so technologically incompetent without you kiddo. Miss you. The pictures were great. I love that you were able to hop the border to Canada...and look forward when you get home so you can do all of the cooking :)...up at 5:30 am-that is truly a miracle. Wow. Keeping you in my heart and when I am up at 530 I will think about you with a big smile. Love your other mom
Hey homie sis! Damn girl, 5:30 am back on the peace walking routine. You rock, and have fun. I'm bout to jump on down to Oz and Bali for the summer! I miss you and send you mi corazon!
You're in my heart! I love the picture of you crossing the bridge. It's funny you went to Canada for lunch. Paul wants to know if that's the house you live in now - the one where you're standing on the porch in the flood.
I hope not. I'm missing you and also really proud and silly happy, like I'm the one who just drove across the country into the mountains where it's snowy and flooded and sunny till 10:30 at night.
those snow covered mountains are amazing! as soon as i figure out how to work my scanner i will email that picture to you. i wish i was staying in your lodge so i could witness another six egg omelette flip. and because i miss you!
So that's what Bill looks like! Beloved, brave Aleta! I'm glad that you didn't have to face that long drive in snow, fog and flood all alone! Thank you, Bill!
not the same around here we are so glad you arrived safely. we miss you terribly, but what you are about to experience is worth you leaving us. we will just have to live with second rate substitutes for now! can't wait to see more pictures.
