Yo Zinny,
I absolutely love reading your blogs. They sort of help me live out a part of China with you, and cure my own itching wanderlust!!
All of the mad travelling stories you hear from people, are just a very condensed version of what they actually experienced!! I remember walking around -2 degree winter in Vienna, convinced I could find a funky cafe/bum on the street to talk to. Was not the case for quite some time..until I walked into a grungy shop and found made some friends with a graffiti artist!
What's the go with your volunteering? Are you able to transfer to a more worthwhile place, or just stick it out till you backpakc around?
Looking foward to more great stories, and that noodle box.
P.S. Gemma has gotten your job at Sportscene, i was giving her some useful sales skills from le meister himself!
woah hey zin, pretty mad bus ride eh? haha liked the part where everyone went silent when u flexed your chinese then went back to gee up the fight :P glad you are having a ball mate!
when are you volunteering next?
The Mountain King Great Blog Zen Master and I could almost taste the ice and wind from here. Good to see that you have got the camera sorted out and include more photos. So how is your Chinese going ?? I understand that you are brushing up on your American but what about the Chinese Zen Master ??? Stay safe acient warrior,
Ethics.... G'day Zin, thanks for the latest update, good to see your ethical view of the world is keeping you on track. I have always believed that you have a great sense of natural justice and right and wrong. I support that you do it as tough as possible and go and live in the orphanage and eat and sleep up there. This is where you will make the most difference. Leave the cheap beer and lamb skewers and whisky and get up into the hills at the orphanage. The air might be better there.
I will support whatever you do...
So how is the duck pancakes ???
Delicious! I moved to a new school that is a little bit different from the kindy. This one is just a local public school with 50 kids a class that scream back at you whatever you say. The orphanage is a bit of a no go because it's a two hour trip each way and a bit of dough to get there. It seems everyone signs up for the orphanage but no one actually gets to do it. The duck pancake is truly delicious! Get skype and we will have a yarn.
So have you leanrt any chinese yet ??? Good afternoon Zen Master, trust you are imparting great knowledge to the little ones on thier journey into the English speaking world. So how is your Chinese language improving ?? Have you grasped that ancient warrior by the hirns yet ??? Do tell.... and you have not yet told me who the girls are in the phot on your Blog are... are they local townsville girls ???
Weaners Good afternoon Chub Master, yes the little ones are familiar with all sorts of Australian things. They now spend there lunch times playing aussie rules, asking for Vegemite sandwiches and saying G'day to everyone they meet. Nah not really, I'm moving to a primary school where it should be a wee bit better. Seeing you keep asking yes they are fine Townsville lasses, as are all girls in Townsville. My grasp of Chinese is slowly improving and I will grab whatever comes my way by the hirns...

Great to hear about your first day - gave us all a good laugh! Poor Bubba (why am I not surprised...) Glad to see you have managed a sense of humour about it all. Where are you located? In the city, is it big/busy etc? Looking forward to hearing more and seeing the pics.
