what a nice blog. Hi , rely enjoy your blog , after long time I am going back to Bangladesh and i could not wait to travel to nature. I miss my country so much.thank you.
real poverty I am glad that you travel to the real treasure of Bangladesh--her people. Its sad that the Western world knows Bangladesh as a country of poverty and disaster. Bangladesh is obviously poor, but there is generosity and hospitality that you will find nowhere and it defies the traditional concept of poverty. Have a safe journey and may you come back again! Khoda Hafez.
Oh my gorgeous Godson, you have brought a tear to my eye too! Really looking forward to seeing you and hearing first hand about your wonderful 3 months. Lots of love and have a safe journey home.
This is so touching you made me cry - I am really sad for you as you end this lovely experience but I can't wait to see you on Tuesday. Love the Panjabee - suits you xx
glad You are one of the few westerners who have dared to come out, defy the media-presented image of Bangladesh and visit our country. Enjoy a different world!
We don't have the tall buildings of NY, flyovers of Houston or gorgeousness of Vegas, but there is something in Bangladesh that people love. I can feel it, but hard to narrate.
Well I have travelled from Cliffe to Gravesend every day! ! ! The weather has been varied: sunshine, rain, gales, frost and ice. The vehicle has been the same each time but it has had the added excitement of oil leaking with some necessary stops to top up the engine. I have seen fields of cabbages and roads with pot holes and a variety of bollards!!! This is all waiting for you when you return!! Seriously it all sounds amazing. I really love reading your blogs.
With love from your Godma, who is so far surviving, despite it being the week of the production.
This is so cool! Really took me out of myself and made me feel relaxed just reading it, sounds such a wonderful place. have got to work out how they make that seven layer tea! Can't wait for the next installment!!
What an amazing week - your love of history certainly shines through here, closely followed by your love of food and partying. Wonder how you will cope with not being stared at when back in England!!
What a great 'blog'. You sound like you're having a fantastic time!
Love from the 'Goodie'.
PS when you are in the Bangladesh tea area Katherine should be en route to the Himalayas - give her a wave!!
Don't be thinking about coming home yet and finishing your time there or it will all go too fast. Keep enjoying it all, however there are comments here I will remind you of when you are home and bored!!!
You certainly have the right attitudet o making the most of your experience. Continue to enjoy it and grow and learn from all that happens.
With love Godma
