Trip to Chitral and Gilgit - May 2016

Went to Chitral via Loweri Pass; Crossed Lowari Pass (even in this season, the sidewalls we passed thru were snow clad) at 12.00 mid-nite on way to Lower Chitral (photo). Then went to Upper Chitral (Booni/Mastuj) and crossed to Gilgit via Shandur Pass (highest Polo Ground in the world, el 10,000 ft), May 2016. The Polo ground is still covered in snow in May! View from Serena Hotel window, Gilgit.. Came back from Gilgit to Islamabad via helicopter. A one-of-a-kind experience. View from the helicopter!
