Nice finale Kathryn, thanks for the interesting chapter. You look quite comfortable in the African setting! All's well with us, working on 'projects' with friends visiting from home. Hope you have a good trip back and keep blogging.
Hi Kathryn, You look marvellous. Thanks for the pix. They really bring the story alive visually. Your voice sounds as if you have had very warm friendships/acquaintanceships with everyone, but that could be your positive nature and interest in all things. You've made me hungry to see Africa! Can't wait to visit with you. Unfortunately, I'll be leaving on Sunday so we'll have to wait til after I come home Mar.24. I'm inspired by your trip and getting excited about mine. Safe travels until we meet again. Pat
Your Beach Day I am not sure if you get to see the comments. There appear to be several from others but they are not visible at this end. This is wonderful way for you to share your blog. Technology certainly does have its advantages. Your photos will tell such a story when you return home. I cannot imagine the lifestyles that you are being exposed to and the different dialects. Spending a day at the beach would be so soothing. You must be feeling like you are healing and becoming restored.
Sharing your experience Kathryn, this is truly a trip of a lifetime. I am not sure if this note willl actually get posted but you are definitely in a much better place climate wise right now. We are still in a deep freeze. Your photos are breathtaking. To catch wild animals in their natural habitat and with such clarity is what I can only imagine for is a dream of a lifetime. You look amazing and healthy and happy. This is the re-charge that you needed.
great news It's such a relief to hear from you. Your letters and pix are great, Kathryn. When a few days passed w/o any news I was beginning to wonder. I guess you were just on the road and not able to access a computer.
I am busy planning my odyssey to Mexico and points beyond. All travel is booked and I'm researching as fast as I can what to see and do in each place. It's a lot of work planning it all on my own!
Just got back from babysitting two grandsons for the wkend. I'm tired but very satisfied. They were so good, and cute, of course.
Your trip is looking absolutely fabulous. I'm envious. I understand your need for a couple of days of quiet down time. Enjoy the rest of your journey (in more ways than one).
Much love,
PC
GRANDMA!!! Hi Grandma. I have been following your blog. Seems like an amazing trip! I think about what it's like for you in Africa very often.

Missing you!

Reading your blog and storing up lots of questions for your return. It is very out of our experience and sounds very busy. Glad you had a little time to sit. ML
Kazuri beads! Hi Kathryn: You're having such a rich and exotic time. Love the pic of you and the warriors. Interesting to see the making of the Kazuri beads. Thanks for making the effort and keeping us posted.
WOW! I would be scared that i would get attacked by a lion or something, haha. The pictures are beautiful and it looks very cool being that close to the animals.
Tell us what you're eating! You look great! And I love the picture of the Maasai women. I'm glad to hear from you and can't wait to see all of your pics. Love you, Karen

hello Dear Kathryn,
I'm envious! You sound wonderful and the trip sounds amazing. But what I am most happy for you about is the warmth I sense growing between you and Paul and Esther. To tour a foreign culture with new friends must be exciting on an added level. Can't wait to see your photos and most of all talk when we both get home. I'm sending you hugs and good energy for positive experiences as you travel.
Love,
Pat

Bon Voyage You'll have your feet on the ground in Africa soon! Thinking of you and wishing I was there with you - it's up to -4 but more snow last night. Full winter gear on the way to work this morning :-)
best Kathryn I did not realize it was this close , all the best and will think of you the whole time the adventure and the safety , hope you can let us know on a regular basis , love you sister
In a month, I'll leave winter behind for equatorial Kenya. Serendipitous journey. Like other aspects of my life, this is something unanticipated, although more welcome than summer's jolt. While the first winter storm jackscrews outside, pushing snow into corners and crevices, I am about to dig through summer clothes and to picture myself in the rush of Nairobi, on the grasslands of the Masai Mara, and the beaches of Mombasa. Imagine.... full info
