Ruby baby Our geology field camp was in Eureka, Nevada. The last mapping course was to map metamorphic rocks in the Ruby Mtns. We hiked all over those mtns for a week. Saw many a mtn goat. It is amazing these mtns are in the Nevada area. Really enjoyed them back in the day.
around the world and back again If you go the blog that has the puppy on it, that is what we are doing right now. Where home. The new blogs after that are a recap of what I never got around to finishing after we got home...It would have been better to do them awhile ago but yah...I'm writing them so I can print them out and make a keep sake scrap book for Scott and I of our journey.
You've finally landed Hey guys,
Good to see you have a base station now. I was wondering where you guys were 'cause I'm still getting blog updates from your travels in Spain. Sounds like you guys have had a heck of a year. hope to see you guys again. So Scott is not going back to Pason?
Let me know if you guys are planning any trips back to Canada any time soon. Hope all is well.

I really enjoyed reading your blog. I recently spent a month in Barcelona and it's great to see your photos of many of the places I remember. I even saw that same crazy street performer!
Great Read Great writing guys! I loved the part about if you were not looking for anything you would find everything and if you were looking for something specific you would not find it. Great observation. The 50 Euro joke the Dutch guy played on you was great as well! Great Entry!
howdy :) Yes actually we did throw coin in lol. Gorgeous place. Can;t remember if I included it but we also found a cat sanctuary in the middle of the city that was some ancient ruins. There were cat's lounging everywhere. I loved it. Unfortunately all we had time for was Rome. We heard great things about Sienna. So who knows :) Would love to see Venice one day to. We'll have to wait until the dollar goes back up on that one though.
Catch you 'round and great hearing from you.
Grand Junction Cool! Need a place to stay in Denver look me up. I have been here since July. Did some snow camping last weekend. Love the mountains! The Colorado National Monument is pretty cool! Have you been up to see the wild mustangs east of Grand Junction on the BLM ground yet? I hiked about 4 hours 1 day in hopes of seeing them, but never did?
Trevi Fountain Did you throw a quarter over your shoulder into the Fountain to insure a safe return to Rome? or do you not want to go back? I loved Rome. Did you go south of Rome to Amalfi, Pompeii, Sorento? Nice pics. The gladiator toe fighter is a crazy dude as well as the guy that those toes belong to! Nice job!
You are a funny girl! I love the travel blog! I finally found it and read whats going on and I think you are home now. So cool to see you sorry I was so hard to pin down. I don't try to be so illusive it come with my life I suppose. You guys are wonderful! So cool to meet you in Thailand and Scott basically rocks! Glad you guys found each other. Love Hua
Great Entry! I loved your entry. I think your Hair looks fine Clover. Glad you guys got you passports back! Are you getting tired of traveling yet? I started getting tired after about 15 months. When will you be back? It is nice sleeping in the same bed more than 2 nights in a row! take care and be safe!
Great Videos The videos are great. It was like I was actually there traveling with you. Clover did not give Scott a very big bite for his birthday. I am not seeing much love out of you Clover for your MAN! Nice work guys, I laughed a lot!
Moving on through. Yeah, we like doing the movie additions, makes things a little funner. Greece is super nice and we're loving the non humid weather as we travel around the islands. Albeit it's gonna be super nice when we get home ;)
Wow Movies! Nice movie. You guys have advanced to the video age of blog making! Very impressive. Ask Clover if I can interview her someday too!
Keep up the good work! Are you guys getting tired yet? I just made it home and it feels good to be here. Take care and Be safe!
How´s Greece? Sorry I didn´t back to you sooner. As you know things on the road can be quite busy at times. I suspect this comment may be to late but the hostel called Summit Zero at Mount Olympus is really good. Also make sure you get to Meteora. It is really good. Just finished a 5 camping trip in Patagonia in below freezing temps. It was ´cool´ . Back in the states on June 7th. R U guys doing ok? It would have been great to meet somewhere again during our travels. Maybe we meet in the states again someday! Stay in touch!
Excellent Narration Hey Scooter,
That was a great recount of your recent travels. Keep it up it's really interesting. You may want to consider doing a little writing instead of coming back to the oil patch,...it fits you better.
Cheers,
carlito
Sorrows of mankind You've seen the beauty of mother nature, beachs, mountains, in all their wonder. The beautiful sunsets, perhaps love and laughter, and now a time for mourning the horrors our society inflicts upon each other. Look around and see the destruction, all through our history, and for what worthy cause. If we could but learn from all that is lost, the souls of so many might ease their passing. Mankind, hell bent on destruction, with greed as her teacher marching throught eternity, leaving tears and broken hearts to mourn, there is a cruelty beyond all comprehension. Take a moment, and then tuck away some small piece of wisdom that will bring hope for a new begining.
off to Cambodia we go :) Hey bro,
Gratz on the sweet IP well. That's the ticket, give them the ol barton know how. Helps make the bonuses get bigger too :) Yeah, bit of a set back on blogging when stuff got stolen, but we are writing again trying to catch up. Lots more to come. In fact got wayyy to many pictures of Angor Wat... :) Cheers.
Hi dee Hi dee Ho So glad you surfaced on the great world wide web. Durain sounds worse that pigshead loaf. Remember that taste test? Drilled the best IP well my company has ever had in their 19 year history. I stuck my neck out, but it worked. Thought about you both the other day, so it is great to here from you. Hobbits do have fun.
Anger. Well, bit of a disaster in Malaysia with our room being broken into and losing our camera and laptops. But hey, what can you do, besides piss and moan and look at everyone crossed eyed. Man I wish they could invent a death ray that zapped thieving scum bags. But hey, we aren't bitter. We're just gonna call on the local shia law to track these A-holes down so we can watch when they cut thier hands off :) Anyhoo, all is good. Just had to vent.
The Best of OZ Well, that was an adventure. Love the summary and yes the wombats do look like R.U.S.'s. Loved the reference, "Just walk away, just walk away." So do Ozzies even like ole Mel Gibson or what? So you're off to the orient...or somewhere's there abouts. Taking you're newly acquired "G'day mates" and "No Worries" mixed with home brewed "sup?" and "likes." Of course there's your ocasional Canadian "eh" thrown in with a Texas "all y'all." I can't wait to out what you take away from Singapore. Maybe a little English "What, what" or "spot of tea please." Either way keep up the good work. Love the video and pictures. Keeps the fun going and I greatly enjoy the shared experience. Stay safe and keep having fun.
love all y'all

King's Cross eh? Sounds like my kind of dive. Vomit in the streets (scratches head thinking of Houston), people passed out at McDonalds and dark alleys filled with all sorts of colonial adventures. The roaches part reminded me of you're last roach motel experience when you lived with Bobby in Grants Pass and I visited you both at that hotel for transients and recently released convicts. I believe you were amusing (or defending) yourselves by shooting a BB gun at the roaches on the wall. Remember Mom freaking about that one? No way her baby boy was gonna live in a creepy place like that. Ah, nice to see you've come full circle in life little bro.
So, after suffering with the Flu for 10 days and enduring 103+ boughts of delerium (almost got thrown into a lukewarm bathtub too) I was watching the latest installment of American Idol and guess what? There's a girl from Selma, OR that's in the top 24. Her name is Kristy Lee Cook and she's 23 or 24. Whew! does that make me feel old. I kept scratching my head wondering which Cook I went to school with that has a daughter that age. Anyhow, just thought I'd give you the latest on the American pop scene and our regional debut onto national awareness.
Moving on...do let me know if you guys decide to come back sometime before the end of 2008. I'd like to plan some vacation time and visit with you both before you go through the painful process of reemergence into the wonderful world of work. And lose that beergut, it doesn't work well with tribal dances and will likely just get bigger when you get home.
Love you both and keep enjoying the world.
Steve
Yeah, we wanted to pretend that Lord of the Fries had nothing to do with flies since that is kinda yucky, but oh well. Perhaps the kids in the book were dreaming of french fries as they were eating bark and grass (I know i would be). Good to hear from you all, and glad your able to join us in a way with our travels. Take care and many thanks again for letting us stay with you'all while we were in the area.
Welcome all to the adventures of Clover and Scott. As most of you already know, we've hung up our corporate spurs, placed our domestic lives into brown boxes with labels that now reside in a storage facility, and have purchased our Around the World Tickets!!!
It's time we took our path through the yellow wood.... full info
