I love reading your blogs, they're very good. Glengarry sounds like a very interesting little place. I find it fascinating that people live like that and don't see there's anything wrong, but the people in the cities couldn't imagine a life without competing with the Jones'. Imagine how much spare time they would have, not having to worry about the appearance of their home or cleaning 38sqs! Any spare ones?
Its such a shame you didn't have a sports car for bathurst, that would have been the coolest! At least you got to see the scenery i suppose. No kangaroos would have died either at least. Love Katie and Simon xxx
Miss you already!! Looks like your seeing some lovely spots. Wish we were there too : ) I want to pat the tigers! Love you and miss you both already, Katie and Simon xxx
nearly home!! loved the pics of old kal.... was living there for a while, was teaching black fellas.... i found them a really friendly bunch , i loved the welcoming party on the main drag that the locals have, wine casks a plenty and no soap..
i guess you must be on the last stretch home, when is it you get back to Mel?

Hopping with excitement!!!! This is a good travel blog with pictures-
"rooey" written all over the kangaroo's chest
"rootey" written all over Wes' face (as he excitedly enters the brothel) .......
It is fair! Katie - it is fair - you got the diamond - your mum is still waiting for hers!! Having been to the south-west area you're right it is the most beautiful spot I'm dying to go back. Congratulations Katie your (comment) blog is just as descriptive as your mothers blogs - like mother like daughter.
NOT FAIR!! The beautiful south-west coast, it has and always will have a special place in my heart. Hearing, reading and seeing the beautiful pictures made fond memories come rushing back into my head. Every one should go there and enjoy its charm and beauty (and some of Australias best food and wine and beer and surf and ....) Your right the pictures of Esperance dont do it any justice, its another beautiful place that should be seen by all.

Lock up your daughters (and bikes) Hello Prince Leo here - I've got me own Province with an a-maz-ing collection of flags, medallions, letters and now a NEW bike and helmet!
Thanks for leaving them outside your van my little barrell girl - I found another loophole! - "Riding along on my push bike honey when I noticed you"
You both look very well - can't wait till you're back to celebrate the gr8 news! Love Gerry (mother of the romantic Andrew)
My Home Town Reading about my home town brought a smile to my face. Glad that you found Little Creatures, Fremantle's number one attraction and server of some of the greatest beer in the world. Daniel
Eyes Wide Shut! Well 'ol Prince Leo is no Tom Cruise! - Have a real close look at his eyes and eyebrows - they are weird!! Sure you're not in Cherbonyl.
Greetings from the "poor people person" Hi James Bond and PrawnSTAR,
Exmouth sounds like my kind of place - I looooooove prawns!!! - I think James Bond was very brave to eat that protein witchety grub oh and by the way James you need a filling in the top eft molar!! Talk about EXMOUTH !! You both are developing great tans - which is an improvement on the pastie white you were sporting when you started on your "intermission" journey! Take Care -
Look at the legs on that prawn So much material here guys... the prawn was an obviouse one and as for James bond coming out of the water, with those man boobs, all he needs is a belt around those trunks and he would look like Ursula Andress in gold finger!!! was the water cold AJ ?
Keep on trucking

We are embarking on stage two of our trip around Oz, interrupted at end of 2006 by sale of house and work - yes work, how inconvenient. Having covered up the middle of Oz, down the west coast and back along the Nullabor to home, this time we are heading through outback NSW and Qld to get the Gulf (Karumba) then across the Savannah Way to Cairns where we leave the caravan and head up to Cape York using the roof-top tent (to avoid the crocs). Then we will mosey on back down the east coast to Melbourne. Goals: Learn to surf (properly), a glass or two of vino, regular golf, a glass of two of vino... full info
