Hi,
21 Year old here from the West Midlands, UK.
I am a full time worker in the security/custodial industry and my real passions in life are travel and photography (which luckily go hand in hand 😊 )

I was lucky enough to be taken on plenty of city breaks in Europe when I was a kid and this really opened my eyes up to travel so I haven't looked back since and travel anywhere, when ever possible.
I've been to; France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, Holland, Iceland, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Lebanon, Ireland, Belgium, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah (USA).
...And I'm currently on a South-east Asia adventure of, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. (Via Qatar and Singapore)

So tonight is my last night in my 'transition' hotel which I booked in advance to ease myself in to the crazyness that is Vietnam. Tomorrow I'm out on my ear and the only plan is to get myself over to Halong Bay...I have two options... 1.) Taxi to Gia Lam Bus Station to get myself a bus over to Halong City for a night in a hostel and then get myself on a Halong Bay tour the following day. Or.. 2.) Get myself booked in to a hostel in the old quarter and then arrange a 1,000,100d tour for the following day from a travel company based in the OQ of Hanoi. My second day in Hanoi, Vietnam has been been brilliant. 0730: Tried to have a relative lie-in today (but this was quickly made impossible due to the roaring sound of Hanoi traffic) so a quick bannana pancake and a couple of cups of coffee and I'm good to go! 0815: Off to Hoan Kiem Lake in the old quarter, beautiful green lake that stands as the heart of Hanoi. The surrounding benches and grasses are already teaming with locals utilising the all important shade. You join me on my first every blog, sat in my room in Hanoi, Vietnam after a crazy day on the streets of the city (slowly learning now the art of crossing the road - believe me it's not easy here!) I've been here two days now and have just come over from Malaysia and previosly Bali, Indonesia. I'm currently planning the next leg of my trip, in the next two days I will be travelling to Halong City for the must-see Halong Bay, then return to Hanoi to hopefully get a bus to Luang Prabang, Laos, then on to Vientiane and finally off into Thailand for a flight home from Bangkok in about a months time.... read more
