The train from Nha Trang to Danang was discusting, we got on the train after people had got off and our beds had already been slept in!! The carriage was small and clostrophobic and dirty. We just got our sleeping bags out and tried to go to sleep but we wereon the top bunk right below the air con and it was freezing, we eventually had to put the dirty quilt on us just to keep us warm!! We arrived in Danang and expected a taxi from our pre booked hotel to pick us up, it was 5am and there was no one to pick us up, we rang the hotel and the lady on the end of the phone didnt have a clue what we were saying, so we just decide to get in a ... read more

We arrivved in Mui Ne on a sleeper bus, even though it was during the day, but it was nice and comfortable and we managed to sleep alot of the way!! We are lazy! The planned because there wasnt much to do, unless you like kite surfing. We wanted to spend more days in Nha Trang as there was loads we wanted to do there. We hired a moto bike the next day and went to the Sand dunes there were 2 different sand dunes one red and one white, they were very impressive but the the white ones more so!! Adam hired a peice of plastic so he could sledge down the white sand dunes, after slidding down a feweather was very cloudy and windy when we got there, we strolled round looking for somewhere ... read more

Where do I start we are extremely behind, we are currently in Hanoi our last part of Vietnam, having traveled up the coast!! We arrived in Saigon (hcmc) from Cambodia via bus, everything was straight forward apart from whilst travelling through Cambodia we had to get on a small Ferry to be taken accros a river, it was very busy so the bus had to queue, there were hundreds of streent sellers mostly children, all banging on the side of the bus, a guy behind us threw a $1 note out of the window, that was it they were going crazy, they saw Adam and the only window on the bus which was right next to him, and started climbing on each others shoulder and banging on the window, one little boy started trying to open ... read more

We decided to leave Ko Chang and head to Cambodia for the New Year after hearing it was a bit of a party place!! We took the boat from Ko Chang and mini bus to the border, we crossed over the border...WOW...Scary shit first border crossing and going into Cambodia was a bit of a shock, children begging everywhere, it was hard keeping an eye on all the bags and what you were doing. Once through customs we got 2 motos to take us where we were staying for the night in KO KONG!!, not the nicest place in the world a bit of a dive, we read that it was the a bit of a red light district too, our guest house was HORRID, one of the worst we have stayed in, it had came ... read more

We had a four hour minibus from pai to chaing mai, where we were due to catch the overnight train to Bangkok the train left at 2.30pm as scheduled and was due to arrive in Bangkok at 5.30am...after about an hour travelling we stopped at some random train station for about an hour and a half for no aparant reason, we finaly started moving again onwards to bangkok, we arrived in bangkok at 7:30am... 2hrs late and then had to get a tuk tuk to the bus station to catch the bus to ko chang, at 7:30 am in the middle of bangkok traffic is stupidly bad so it took ... read more

Once wwee got back to Bangkok, we decide to book and bus to Kanchanuburi where the Bridge over the River Kwai is.. Prisoners of war from World War 2 made the bridge, ozzies, english and south east asian laborers, we met another couple on the mini bus on the way there... Kim and Paul, we ended uo traveliing with them for nearly 2 weeks. The place it very nice, feels very surreal we happened to arrive on the last night of a light and sound show, which was fantastic, it re created the allied troups blowing up the bridge, using light sound and stunt men. It made it feel like you were actually there, with fire works as bombs..(if we can get the video on you will see). We decided to rent a couple of mopeds ... read more

Accomodation - 2 bungalows Mozzie bites: 6 Vicky 2 Adam (they love me) From Bangkok we decided to go to Ko Samet for some sun sea and sand, and to confront Adams fears of long bus journeys. The bus was great and only 3 and half hours then a half hour boat ride!! He was fine and now thinks he can manage just about anything...Watch this space?? lol We got to Ko Samet with the biggest and heaviest bags in the world and starting looking for our accomodation in the midday sun was hard work, needless to say after 10 mins of wondering around aimlessly we got a taxi, to find out it was literally 2 mins up the road a waste of 150baht (3 quid) we could have had an extra few beers for that..First ... read more

Well we made it to bangkok in 1 piece and got a taxi to Ko San road where our hotel was that we had booked when we was back home, the road was closed to taxis and cars as it had gone past 5pm so we got our 1st experience of walking through hundreds of people with our heavy backpacks on (wont be doing much walking with these on i can tell u that!! Blowing out my arse!!) We found our hotel without anytrouble n checked in, the room was ok (not as good as it looked online) but we wasnt bothered, we both had a quick freshen up and headed out onto Ko San Road to take in the sights, after a quick walk we sat ... read more
