We only stayed a couple of days in Surfer's Paradise and Brisbane because all the way down the East coast we heard about how great Byron Bay was, and so we wanted to spend a decent amount of time there. Turns out everyone was right, we loved it and ended up spending a week there. Byron Bay is well known all over Australia for how beautiful it is, it's where the Hinterland meets the coast, so basically where lush green fields, forests etc meet white sands and clear blue seas. Our first day in Byron we just explored the small and quaint town.
