Dartmoor Viewers Dry weather at last. Thanks for message. We have new dog - same version as dear old Megan RM. Bad luck on the toilet situation Joy, I'm afraid it may only get worse. Our septic tank needs a new lid and until it is fitted I shall think of you when I walk past it! Great to read your diary. Continued good luck.

The Epic Journey This is the first chance we have had to check your progress. Andy has very kindly let us use his PC at work. We are not sure whether you have a tan or rust streaks but are very impressed with your progress. We hope that you do not find eastern europe too frustrating. Wait till you have to deal with the Turks. You are both looking very well. In one photo Steve looks a bit like Terry Waite!!!

Good Luck! Steve and Joy,
A short note to wish you much luck. I am very sorry I did not get to see you prior to your departure, but as Steve Knows my admin is arse and the military were conspiring against me - I only got back late afternoon on the day of your bbq.
Anyhow, I will endeavour to catch your updates as you weave your way across Europe and into Asia. I know you will enjoy every minute - especially the post cycling well deserved beer at the end of the day!
Finally, if there is anything you need then pse just email - I am sure you will have all things covered but if something comes up then just email me. As the Irish saying goes 'may the the sun shine on your face and the wind be at your backs' and have a great time.
Regards
Jon

We are Steve and Joy Scott a 'young at heart' couple who have decided to put our careers on hold and spend the next 12 months travelling round the world.
We are currently living in Exmouth, Devon, UK, but in June 2008 will set off from Wrexham, N Wales (Steve's birthplace) to cycle to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Joy's birthplace).
Our plan at the moment is fairly flexible - not wanting to be tied to tight schedules or allow future conflicts to detract us from achieving our goal. In outline, we will cycle across Europe to Turkey, stopping at places that we find interesting. Around October/N... full info
