Hotel Hi Marie thank you for your question - we stayed here http://www.citadines.com/en/france/paris/les_halles.html it was nice - less amenities than a regular hotel - but location was great - You can probably find a better deal - but it worked well for us ~ if you go I hope you have as an amazing time as I did.
We envy your trip! Good to hear about your travels. The photo's, especially of the stained glass at Notre Dame, are excellent. Jane and I envy you your trip to Paris. She went many years ago but we've never gone together. Quite a change from CR, huh! Keep us on the loop.
Great Trip Great Pictures. Looks like a great place to visit. How do you pay for all this I need the secret. Just finished th book Remembering Anne Franks. Great Book Would love to see what you sawl Bob
Word of the day... "Planchando"
When I try and remember definitions of the new Spanish vocabulary words we were learning in our neighborhood classes, I can only remember your definitions...which are not fit to print, but continue to make me laugh. You are truly missed. Wishing you all the best and hope you come and visit before too long!
Why? Why would you post this? Wasn't this comment and apology private until you published and therefore the clarification unwarranted? Just curious...it doesn't make sense to me but if this is what you want on your blog I guess it is your choice. I will still read about your experience. I would respectfully suggest you should think about removing the post as it isn't attractive. Cheers from California
and he never met you! Terry,
We who know and love you (and they go together) would realize that you always speak a bit "tongue in cheek", as your dry humor is priceless! Someone just reading your verbage, w/o knowing you, should not make such appraisals!
Keep on keepin' on - we enjoy you wholeheartedly!
Pura Vida and happy holidays-
Gale
Old Guy's Response Terry,
All I can think of to comment about your critic is a passage from very old Ricky Nelson song title, 'Garden Party that goes," 'If you can't please everyone, then you've got to please yourself."
We enjoy and appreciate the adventres you share with all of us who know you and honor you as a great and decent person. Don't be detered by negative jerks. Civility is in short supply these days. If the guy doesn't appreciate what you do, I suggest he just moves on and allow the rest of us to enjoy your sharing of your quest.

Sorry about the slam Terry, sorry for slamming you so hard about your blog and the third world comment. I had just read another blog about Costa Rica that used the same term and was frustrated. I think we both know that Costa Rica is not the same as Darfur and despite some challenges it is a developing nation with tremendous infrastructure compared to most of Central and South America. No it isn't the states and yes you should have the dogs in a fenced area. I think that is what also bothered me. You must take care to protect your animals as they are like three year olds and can really harm themselves and/or others if not cared for properly. Pura Vida
Hang in there... Hi Terry---yes it seems gossip and back-stabbing are common the world over--not just among Americans. As far as dating goes there is a similar "do they like me for me of because they thing I'm 'paid'" feeling in Buenos Aires as well. But, like anywhere else there are a few roses among the thorns, so keep on truckin'

happy living Greetings from Belfast, Ireland from where i am planning my relocation. Your blog is great and it sounds like you are well adjusted, content and settled. I would be keen to hear more of gay-life, in whatever form that may take. Keep writing, Kevin x
Tropical Plant ID Terry,
Sounds like you are living up to your moniker! We're interested to hear your impressions of the Carribean coast as we didn't make it to that area on our January trip. We'll have to check out Banana Azul - we loved Mono Azul in Manuel Antonio!
Your flower photos are beautiful. I can help you out with a few names:
#1 - Ginger
#2 - Also ginger
#3 - Hybiscus. The state flower of Hawaii
#4 - Bougainvillea. The flowers are the tiny structures in the center.
Botanically, the beautiful colored "flower" we see
are actually the bracts. We occassionally grow
them here in Indiana but obviously, they are not
winter hardy. We plan to use them our on place in
CR.
We look forwarfd to keeping up with your travels and adventures!
Glad to see you're happy Hey TDS...wonderful pictures and stories. I'm glad to see that you are doing well. Take good care of yourself, please. Love ya!!!! :-)
Nice place Looks like an interesting time!! I'm really glad you're keeping me in the loop of what you're doing. Glad you're having so much fun and enjoying the natives.
BTW - I thought mi bano meant "My bathroom" en espanol. :)
Felicitades... What a lovely web page. You made everything seem/feel real! You are both observant and sensitivo. Muy impressivo! Hope to see/hear about more of this type of activity, as I get to know you better.
Rick here...in the mountains of Costa Rica, connecting with the people in a smaller, somewhat rural/remote community.
Doing Good So I see you are giving back to the community. That's very noble of you, i know that you can be good. looks like you are having fun in the sun. keep up the good work. Lydia says hi.
