Too Weird! That's freaky. Haven't seen you in a life time but was just thinking of you 10 mins ago. Now I open my iPad doing my snoop book routine before bed and your cheeky Welsh face pops up! I take it you still have itchy feet 8 years post NZ! Looking forward to reading this in the morning, if I can find a spare hour! Looks to have a good picture to word ratio, my kinda read! I will critique and update then!
You write some very fine blogs Only discovered your blogs today and I thoroughly enjoyed your approach to travel and to blogging. Look forward to reading more of your travel tales when you hit the road again in 2013
Nothing but thanks! I think the title says it all but again thanks for somehow finding my blogs and even more so for the kind words. Although I have been on travelblog for a while the world of following and followers was a bit alien to me but I am now delighted to have up to 6 followers, not quite the dizzying heights of yourself but simple things please simple people! I was then even more pleased to find out what a huge contribution you have made to the website and the number of blogs written, I can only be jealous and aspire to get to see enough that I can write that many. I have only dipped into a couple of yours but would also like to pay the compliment back and say you seem fine writer and you are the first person I am oficially following, I look forward to reading your future blogs and after worknig my way through your previous efforts you may well find me pestering you for information and advice on my future trips! Thanks again and nice to sort of meet you!
Great Blog Hiya mate, so you liked Delhi then?! LOL! I half expected you to approach some of the touts and say..."listen mate, you think you've got a hard life....let me tell you...." sounds like you had some proper falling down moments - I wish I had been there to see that! Great blog tho and you are experienced enough now to know it gets better. My parents said India was an attack on all the senses and they were right! Will try and read installment 2 on the weekend. All is well here....remember, eat with your left hand, wipe with your right! :-) R xx
antibacterial handwash!! Great brlg Mike. Glad youve started enjoying India. We found Sri Lanka similar but nowhere near as chaotic. Im feeling guilty for using your handgel now!!! Keep exploring...
Hewwo my fwiend! Alright my brother from another mother,
Your trip sounds absolutely amazing and I am filled with jealousy! However, I do feel that a lot of plagiarism has occurred with the amount of information that you are providing us with. It has been a fascinating read though and I have learnt a lot. For example, you just confirmed that Bob Dylan's lyrics really are boring and predictable. They are on par with Robbie Williams!! (See "Rudebox").
Anyway, I was expecting a bit more humour but I suppose even you struggle to make any jokes, puns or innuendos about Hiroshima. I did have one but thought it best not to post it on here - it involves the word "explosion" though.
Enjoy the rest of the trip mate and I shall see you soon. Take care, Ev.
Trip Hi,
my name is Sabine. I incidentally came to your homepage and I must say: Thank you soo much!
;) My friend Vicky and I are planning to do exactly the same trip this summer and your hp helps us a lot.
If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you some more questions...
Greetings from sunny Austria in Europe,
Sabine
PS: I loooove the pictures!
The Final Curtain!! Heya Mike,
So off home at last, it must be a little strange! I'm sure you will do it again soon though...I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and I wish you a safe flight home. Thank you so much for allowing us all to be a part of your adventures...it was definitely something I looked forward to...just kicking back a relaxing to another one of your famous blogs. Take care Mike and I hope to keep in touch xx
Home, James Hey Buddy, great last blog and very fitting for you to start and finish alone. You certainly have grown (not literally!) and found a new talent in writing! Things have changed this end too, but you will fit back in like a glove and you are in a better place now to manage the stresses and strains of life than before you left. We are all looking forward to welcoming you home! Safe trip back! Rich xxx
Legend Standardly another wicked blog bro. Looks like NYC was amazing! Give me a ring when you're home, need the real gossip!
Got some for you too which you'll love. Take it easy and safe flight home. Love ya x
Great blog again mate. Really enjoyed it. When you quoted Mohammed Ali I remembered that you have now had my DVD for at least 2 years!! I'll wait another week or so I guess. Have a great xmas and enjoy the remainder of your trip. See you soon
The last one! It's just sinking in, you're on your way home at last! What can i say? I've hated you being away so long, worried about you being damaged by muggers (and any other number of scary situations i've imagined you to be in!) and yet loved hearing about your adventures, the blogs have allowed us to share in some way this thrilling experience of a lifetime.
Not wanting to appear too mushy or sentimental but i couldn't be happier knowing that you'll soon be back safe and sound.
Much love as always

Its all a bit 2005..... Hiya buddy - All caught up on the blogs now mate, all great reads and glad for you that you got to finish what you started! I'm loving the Gavin Henson 2005 esque hair, the quiff has to be rivalling Brendon from 90210 by now....special. Richard Hammond in the making methinks (seen his hair lately??!). Loving your work mate, we are all really looking forward to your return. Stay safe you little bugger you! xxx
That hairstyle Dude, haven't the South Americans cottoned on to Barbers and Razor blades yet? Or is that some kind of wild fashion statement? Either way, can we have the old michael ready for when you return x
Hi all, I'm Mike, a teacher from Wales and travelling plays a key role in my life. I am fascinated by the endless variety this world has to offer and the people who inhabit it, I live to travel to faraway places to seek out as many experiences as possible.
"If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine. It's lethal." - Paulo Coelho. I suppose it's a desperation to avoid the norm of home, that feeling that life is mundane and unfulfilling. I don't want to be like the majority, stuck in the rat race working all day and sat hunched over a smartphone checking Twitt... full info
