As an Asperger it was sometimes hard on my parents to find places to take me that engaged me. Aspergers' tend to have limited interests; more importantly if they aren't interested in something - they're not interested, period. Aspergers also have triggers, we don't do well in places that overload our sensory perceptions; crowded places are out; we also have problems with noise, smells, line ups, etc. If we have a strong interest in something we can focus on it completely. As they knew I (like most kids) loved dinosaurs. I grew up with Little Foot and his friends on the Land Before Time videos so the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology definitely made it to the I'm interested category.
