After last minute juggling flights to escape the pending strikes at UK airports we escape on the 22nd December. We fly to Bangkok having rejected Hong Kong because we do not want to work in China again, so remove the temptation. We had two good nights in Kao San road before catching the train to the boarder. Being seasoned travelers we're able to navigate the boarder at Poipet with ease. This boarder crossing appears to be the same as it must have been in the 60's. Overloaded carts full of everything including rubbish that is valuable to someone..... We arrive Siem Reap late afternoon on Xmas Day, it's 35C so no snow here!! After some good Kymer food and cheap cold beer.it's good to be back. Job hunt starts in earnest on Monday.
