So Boston is done, so now on to the next state. We again had kind of a loose schedule. Here is a little story of how we got to taste Budweiser on a craft brew tour. However, we had an opening in the schedule, and we decided that we should see what the big guy does. We had a loose schedule but, after a few calls and recommendation, we were able to fit 6 breweries in on one day. That’s going to be hard to beat. The head brewer, Mike, showed us around. He was very informative and delved into the chemistry and biology of what was going on in the brewing process. Independence Mall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania http://www.nps.gov/inde/ We arrived in Philadelphia and immediately went to Independence Mall. There, we saw Independence Hall, Olde City Hall, the first place Congress met. Also, there were original copies of the Declaration of Independence, The Articles of Confederation, and The Constitution. Then we stood in line for the Liberty Bell. There was this Falun Gong protest in front of the Liberty Bell building. They had some pretty gruesome pictures laid out showing what the Chinese government does to them. First off, welcome and thanks for reading my blog. This trip is and east coast brewery tour. We are starting in Poquoson VA and heading north touring as many breweries as we can. Some of the major cities we will be hitting are Philadelphia, Boston, Portland, and Burlington. Again, thanks for join us on this adventure.
