The weather down here in the Central American beach of Jacó has been amazing these past few days. It’s hot and sunny in the early part of the day, but changes in the afternoon as the clouds creep in from over the steep mountain ridge that encompasses Jacó bay. I like the feel of the ocean breeze as I’m just 100 yards from the surf here on the patio of the Ocean Waves restaurant at the Copacabana Hotel. As the evening turns we’ve been having these tropical rain storms that last for an hour or so and then return back to the mountains from where they came. Found a great restaurant last night on the beach in Jaco. The Ocean Waves restaurant at the Copacabana Hotel has the best plate of nachos I've ever had. Met a beautiful little Tica there last night at the bar while listening to the live music of the Mojados at the beach stage. Tonight there is blues with the Mouse in the Toaster Blues Band and tomorrow she tells me that she's coming to the body painting party. I'm thinking maybe I can get here early and offer to help her paint her back. Anyway a great time here right on the beach and there will be a band tomorrow too, the BenJammin classic rock band.... read more
