EVIL Shrine Yeah, it was. Seen lots of shrines, but that one is certainly controversial! There was a Chinese guy in the hostel and I dont think he was too impressed!
EVIL Shrine Isn't the shrine you went to in central Tokyo the evil one where all the war criminals are praised? Koizumi keeps goign there and getting in hot water!
Good luck for the rest of your trip!
out of the blocks ! A very impressive first page! will have to ask around for info on harajuka girls as they do not appear on my radar.it sounds as if you are getting through the list of things/places you wanted to see - the planning obviously worth it.
the trains sound amazing - will we get to cardiff on the 11th by BR? cousin Jan rang yesterday to say they would love to see us in Pembroke and as it's quite a drive fromm Cardiff we could stay over - even the offer of a game of golf for dad!!!!
Rang jon to say when we would be there and he may come to collect stuff at weekend.
Just heard interview with head at Belmont school on RADIO 4 !!!! - about giving the kids fish oil tablets to help the brains! - quite strange to hear someone you know.
looking forward to next instalment. live to both ,Mum R XXXXXXX
How exciting..................... It all looks really fantastic. Getting lost in crowds sounds like the good old days at the Stadium of Light (remember that joanna?).
Your hostel sounds interesting, especially the communal bath. Is the both sexes? Surely not!!!!
Tell James to beware of eating too many noodles and get some good old British grub into him. There must be somewhere out there that sells Christmas pie or mince and dumplings.
I'm very envious of your trip on the Shinkansen, as I've just been reading an article about it in the paper. It says that it runs to the second, literally, and is never late. The swivel seats are a good idea too.
Off to play golf again as it's sunny today so keep enjoying yourselves.
