Good morning, afternoon or evening dear readers! This will be a short post as not too much has happened. It has pretty much rained all weekend, yesterday and into today. It's not very productive weather for sightseeing or doing really anything in particular. Allison informs me that the fall in Austria is actually like this most of the time, with sun only so often. That's a real shame, but at least when i sight-see I won't be blinded by any sun... that's the BRIGHT side (pun!). I have had my first glimpse of bureaucracy in Austria. The Austrian government wants people to register that address with the Magistrate within three days of being in Austria. I arrived on Thursday and was out of it, and forgot on Friday. Well dear readers, the title of this post may mislead you. It was a night to remember for sure, but let's start with the day. In fact, there isn't much to discuss. The day started rather late - around 10am. My two wonderful hosts and I decided to have a large weekend breakfast, so Florian went out to buy some key components while Allison prepared the table for the upcoming meal (not exaggerating when I say meal). Our breakfast involved the following deliciousness: * Three kinds of meat (Tyrolian smoked bacon, peppered salami, and "crown prince" meat) * Three cheeses (swiss (emmenthaler), brie and a Bavarian blue cheese) * olives * hot peppers * falafel w/ taziki * delicious buns * butter (for those of you who really know me - this should be a "duh") ... read more

My plane took off - rather later than I expected, around 9:30pm - rougly 45minutes after it was supposed to take off. And go figure, sitting right down the middle of the plane and with a infant sitting next to me. However, before you begin your sympathy cries, it was the best possible infant to have next to you. Maybe it was the late night flight, but this little girl was out in about an hour and a half, and barely woke up until we were standing to get off the plane. It was wonderful. I must take this time to thank the parents, who tried to the avoid the crying baby situation by taking her to the back of the plane and letting her sleep on their shoulder. So Thank You!
