hooray Glad you got there OK. Can't wait to hear of your adventures. Will there be as much drinking as the last trip? Staying up all night? Partying? I am just jealous. Jim is in the dining room playing poker with his pals until midnight. That is the most partying he does. I watched the finals of American Idol tonight with a girlfriend after taking her out for dinner to celebrate her birthday (Jim was eating with the poker group here at the house). Anyway, we can't match your active social life!! Was not happy that my gal, Crystal, did not win American Idol.
Enjoy yourself.
I'm excited for this upcoming adventure of yours J.Z. All of it sounds great!!! Just make sure you continue to blog so I can "travel" along with you. I love reading about your world adventures!
looking forward to your blog updates; LOVED reading them from your last adventure!
plans are fabulous, but remember to leave some time for spontaneity, you never know...
happy b-day from the o's. eat cake!
Can't wait to hear about this trip. I have no knowledge about anything in Egypt. One of the writers in my writing group is writing a book about the people of Egypt so every week she shows pictures of some people with a description of what they are doing e.g. riding a bike with fifty loaves of bread on their head. So, when you take pictures, consider taking them of the ordinary people of Egypt in their everyday life.
back in the saddle sounds pretty exciting! hope it all comes together. I was in Egypt so long ago, it is hard to remember what to tell you to do. Cairo is /was very hectic and noisy, full of taxis, pull carts, camels and big cars! Very colorful. The pyramids and all the area around there is amazing; you will not miss much, I am sure. I am going to forward you an interesting video..have a ball. xo
rose and thorn ...and rose haha, theodore... ..."whiter than white people"? i of course pick up what your throwin down but your descriptive writing skills exceed such ignorant colloquialisms and i expect more out you, whitey, but i otherwise thoroughly enjoyed this epic recount of events sandwiching your trip to bay. ive never tried siracha on popcorn... sounds brutal... i was just introduced to soy sauce on popcorn... my review: tasty.
glad to have you back! i love reading your blogs. you are such an excellent writer Josh. and just an overall great teller of stories. i love that you remember all of the details and minutia about your day. you make the mundane... fun-dane! after this tomorrow, i expect hardcore hangout time. start planning the adventures now. im thinking a few solid bike trips. ive taken the one from davis to winters once. its a good 15 mi. each way, which is about an hour depending on how fast we ride. you have an extra bike perchance?.. because mine is a'hurtin' right now.. maybe a trip or two to the bay. um, i'm just throwin ideas out there.. maybe a round or three of disc golf around sac or davis? oh! sushi! teach me! um... eff my a, what else?... i don't know, you think of somethin. holla at a schola'!
Target Is Target's prominence really linked to rates of depression???!!! Maybe there are more factors like urban living and related stressors. But it is fitting that they built the target right by that HUGE church, right? The two biggest buildings in Davis, side by side. . .
Some rectifications and thanks Hi Josh, I was reading your blog and loved it. I grew up in El Bolson and know all those places with closed eyes. It was beautiful to read your descriptions and appreciations about them. I went to el cajon del azul before it was a refugio, when it was just Atilio's farm. No bridge over the cajon, and I step over it, one foot each side of the boulder. Amazing!
Just one rectification: CAP means Club Andino Piltriquitron. Piltriquitron is the rocky mountain East of El Bolson, the very tall one.
I leave in Seattle since 5 years ago, but I never forget my childhood and young years at that amazing place.
Thanks for your blog.
props this is what my friend tessa evans refers to as spiritual practice. i think its dope that you look for the lesson or or some other benefit out of the negative and have the ability to look back on it and laugh. i'm about meeting new people these days myself. i cant express how much i want to really spend time in close proximity. we will be reunited my soul brother. it's true. keep livin'!
Excuse me..the flour was only my idea bc there was no cornstarch..and if I must say it was a lot better than before..I'm not saying you should never cook for someone but...I wouldn't recommend it haha
a bit confused i think i'm a bit confused about how you got a car and who exactly you are with in this blog but no worries. sounds like you had a killer time at the concerts. too bad lenny didnt make it. later short stop.
