For our visit to Freycinet National Park I decided to stay at Freycinet Lodge as it is located inside the park and has an excellent reputation. Our room, actually a private lodge had a great view of the bay and it was very private and quiet. Our lodge was very large with a sitting area and large flat screen TV on the wall. Breakfast was included with our package and the pancakes were among the best I have had anywhere. The coffee was included from the self service machine. It was also available in your room, instant or cafe filtre. Every room has a reserved parking space. The bar and lobby area is large with a massive fireplace. Outside they have a large veranda circling the building. ... read more

Looking for a destination with spectacular scenery, hiking opportunities, unique wildlife, great food and wine. Tasmania might be just the place for you. There are 19 national parks and two world heritage areas to explore. In addition to 19 national parks, there are over 800 other reserves within Tasmania. They offer a wide range of recreational opportunities and play an important role in maintaining the diversity of Tasmania's natural and cultural heritage. You will be amazed at the fresh local food on offer from individual producers and at farmers markets. Tasmania has 160 licensed wine producers. The vast majority only sells their wines in Tasmania. Designated a World Heritage site in 1994, the bay located in the Gulf of Tonkin includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Viet Nam was a pleasant weather change from Hong Kong in late March. It had been quite chilly there after a cold front has passed through. Both of us enjoyed the intimacy of the Seabourn Spirit with less than 200 passengers and a ... read more
