Arizona Hi you two - so lovely to read your blog - yes I have been on Route 66 etc but lovely to see your photos. Just got back very early this morning from Spain, our golfing holiday - we met up with Julia and Gerry on Friday night for a meal, it was lovely. Julia said had I seen your blog - glad you had a lovely birthday. Safe travelling - chick x
Unforgettable Canada Thanks for the latest chapter - enjoyed hearing all about Canada and Vancouver Island. We too remember the Fairmont in Banff - think there was another Fairmont at Lake Louise but like you we found Canada very memorable and would like to visit it again. Sadly we missed Vancouver Island but it sounds wonderful. We walked toward the golf course at Banff and saw a deer just laying in a sunny glade but no bears - the only one we saw was on our way to Alaska (a brown bear) at the Athabasca Glacier. Look forward to hearing more news from the USA. We are looking forward to the conclusion of the Masters on TV tonight. Love, George and Teresa xx
Canada I know I have said this before - but seeing Banff etc and you hugging (Dougie's) the Douglas fir brings so many memories back. I have a photo which he took of me in front of the Douglas Fir. Not sure where you will be on your birthday Ann but I would just like to wish you A Very Happy Birthday on the 17th - we will drink your health on the Sunday when we are in Spain. Safe onward journey.
Splendid! Hello Ann (and Dave)
I have just been having a catch up of your blogs and you two must be having such a great time.....I am completely jealous of course!! Hope you are keeping well on your adventures and trying out some new stuff....Ann we haven't seen you bungee jumping yet!
Just wanted to say Hi and wish you safe travels....til the next blog! xxx
Memories of Canada Hi you 2, Lost first reply so you might get 2 replies. We went to Canada for our Silver Anniversary in 2007. Toronto then across to Calgary then Brewster Bus up to Banff. Visit to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake then Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver via Kamloops. We wandered around Stanley Park too had a game pitch putt with a lovely French lady who had moved from Quebec to be near to her son in Vancouver. Did you visit Grouse Mountain and Capilano? We then did the Alaska Cruise but unfortunately didn't get to Vancouver Island.
The dog sitting sounds both fun and good way to get stays.
Played the 9 hole today and it's a bit drier so perhaps Spring is round the corner.
Love to you both
George and Teresa Xx
Canada Hi my friends
You have made all the happy memories come back about Canada. I do hope you enjoy Vancouver Island - just magic - I hope all the roses are out in the English garden. Doug & I played golf at Kamaloops. Drank the snow on whistler mountain - Lake louise looked completely different when we were there - will always remember the colour of the lake. Playing golf with Alicia tomorrow, really looking forward to it - hope the rain stops and definitely the wind, blowing a hooley today. Glad you are taking good care of the pets.
luv chick xx
Mardi Gras Good to get all the gen on the Mardi Gras - a great memory for you to hold on to. Understand what you mean about the military as they play a part in some of their major golf tournaments - tending the flags and then everyone shakes their hands as they leave the green - sure you have seen it but good tribute to their dangerous work. Look forward to hearing next message about Canada. We always remember how huge a country it is as we flew from Toronto to Calgary before heading to Banff and it took four hours and we moved into a different time zone and this happened again as we travelled on the Rockie Mountaineer from Banff to Vancouver. Wet again here today but so far only a light dusting of snow so all in all a mild winter. Take care. Love to you both. George and Teresa xx
Brilliant Time Glad you are both still enjoying your adventures. Have a great time in Canada. Looking forward to hearing all about it in next blog. Miss you both being around. Allison & Brian xx

Making me envious Hi Ann & Dave
Think i omitted my e mail, so not sure if my first comment came through. You have reminded me of all the happy times I had with Doug, mentioning all the different islands where we had been. I hope you enjoyed New Orleans - one of the little bars - the bloke dragged me up on to the stage and did some trick with me. Doug said my face was a picture. Had a lovely day with Heather & Murray yesterday - 12 holes of golf first thing then over to Wickham Market to their favourite pub for lunch and afterwards took their grandchildren (4 & 2) horse riding - great fun. Keep enjoying yourselves. love chick x
Enjoying your blogs Hello Ann and Dave - Expect by now you may well be in New Orleans so hope you had a great time on the Cruise - what a good way of seeing the Caribbean and travelling to New Orleans. Loving all your news so wait to hear Part Two of January. Can't believe it is already February tomorrow so from a pretty wet and muddy Felixstowe TTFN. G & T xx
Hi Dave and Ann. We've really enjoyed reading about your trip so far in the states. Sounds like you're both having a great time and what a wonderful experience!! So envious of the warm weather you're having compared to the cold here. Dancing is plodding along nicely as usual but we miss you both and Kim and Martin who haven't been since you left. Your Caribbean cruise is something we've been considering for a while so will look forward to hearing about that and all your other news! Love to you both and a happy and healthy new year. Jan and Andy xxxx
Enjoying all your blogs. You really are having a great time. Will you ever be able to stand still again!! With love from ccccold Felixstowe.

New Year (Happy) Hi Ann & Dave
Glad you are still burning up the tarmac. I did several miles when I was at Keeley's - mind you I wasn't behind the wheel - not for me four and six lanes of traffic, thanking you very much. I heard all about your trip from Alli today - sounds as though you had a good time. I played 28 holes near San diego - 14 all par threes - very challenging though. I did suffer with jet lag when I got home - falling asleep standing up, how about that then. Saw Alicia today, we have arranged to play when she comes back in March. Not sure if you have heard but poor Marlene passed away on the 5th Jan - her funeral is next Thursday - sounds as though quite a few of the ladies are going, so that is good. Enough of my tittle tattle - keep on rolling. luv chick x
Hello and Happy Christmas Hi Ann and Dave
Thanks for the latest blog. It sounds like you are having an amazing experience. Good to hear you have also played some golf:-). Happy Christmas to you both, hope you have a fab time with your Family. Take care and catch up with you in 2016. Jo xx
Golf cloths Well you can look but do you want to carry them around for the next 18mths? Loving the wildlife and scenery, hope you have enough cards for your camera because I expect we are just seeing the top few. Happy Christmas and enjoy your new year. We will raise a glass for you. Xx
Christmas Greetings Hi you two - what a wonderful time you are having - how do you remember all you have done. Looking forward to Dave's decorations when he gets back. When you get to New Orleans you should see all the hankies/ pieces of material hanging on the trees - what a site. Have a superb time with your family - I shall be heading that way in two weeks time - just a tadge further though.
Hi Ann & Dave
Glad you are still having an super time on your travels. Have enjoyed reading about your adventures in Washington with the picture of the new First Lady Ann. Looking forward to seeing you both in Florida
