So good to see that you had made a new entry. I asked your family about you this weekend to make sure you are doing OK. Your writing of your adventure has made for some very good reading. What a wonderful adventure. Good luck on the rest of your travels.
It's great to hear of your latest adventures. I'm sure you will be elaborating on these stories for years to come. Good to hear you are doing well and your progress is so timely. We hope you're enjoying yourself and can't wait to see you again. Be careful and have a blast on your final leg to Canada!

you da man! Hey Jarrod,
Bauer sent me a link to your page talking about your adventure. That is awesome! I'm very excited for you. I'm sure it's difficult at times but very rewarding, keep it up! You have a lot of friends and family who are pulling for you! I met a guy in Paris last week (I took a trip to France and Germany) who is from Texas. He was walking from the northern part of Europe to the Southern part. Then he was getting on boats at various places to make his way to Australia. Your adventure reminded me of him. You can check his adventure out on YouTube/nomadicmechanics. I haven't looked at it yet but need to. I hope your having a great trip!
Be Safe Jared, I just found out about your travels up the eastern coast and have read them all. I am enjoying your travels along with you! What a wonderful experience! Be safe along the way and keep writing
Grandpa & Grandma from your grandparents: enjoyed reading all your journals. Not possible you are halfway to Canada. Safe journey from now on. from Rich: don't make your next adventure farming, poor pay and watch where you step
Jenni's Friend Hey Jared....I am Jenni's best friend Courtney ( you know the crazy one who talked here into moving from Minnesota to North Carolina ). Anyways....Jenni and I were just sitting here having a few brews ourself when she pulled up your page. I have heard her talk about you and your journey in the past, so when she pulled up your page I was very intrigued. I can't tell you just how impressed or inspired I am by your life...the fact that you made a decision to take this journey speaks volumes about the individual you are! I wish I had half the will and determination you have! Good luck in everything that you do and all that you set your mind to conquer! I will be checking your page again to see how your trip is going! Hang in there! You are doing great!
Your had me in tears OMG!! I can't believe how far you made it. I haven't checked in in awhile, and so glad that I did. I am so honored to know someone that has taken a journey like this. I would love to see you with long hair and a beard though. It sounds like you are turning into quite the hippy yourself. Your stories keep getting funnier and more descriptive. Has someone been passing you the ganja along your travels. You had me in tears at a couple parts of your stories. I am sad that I did not make it to encourage you along your way, but good luck and stay warm as you travel into the north.
So close You will pass by us soon. I assume you are staying close to the shore. I really enjoy your blogs. My daughter Martine is also blogging her study abroad in Amsterdam, so I spend my spare time reading. It sounds like such an adventure. Thank goodness for the kindness of those you have met along the way.
Good times... So glad your journey brought you through the Eastern Shore, it was much fun hanging out last weekend. Keep going, you are awesome! See you soon, maybe we will both be homeless and staying at Serena's house at the same time!
Charleston and Savannah Jared, We are enjoying your journal entries as you continue your journey up the east coast. We can relate to many of the cities that we also enjoyed during our trips some years ago. It will be interesting to hear more when you return home. Good luck on the rest of your trip. Granma and Granpa
OBX I hope you have made it to the Outer Banks, not having to dodge big trucks! Your last blog was a little scary! I hear the weather is suppose to be nice back east, I hope you are enjoying nice calm weather. Anxiously awaiting another update. Love, Mom
Sounds like your trip is going well. I believe you may have another career choice...writing travel guides. You would still be able to travel and have a good time and hopefully get paid. Ken is on his way back from Holland. He was in Poland week before last. He no longer shares your enthusiasm for traveling. Take care and keep in touch.

Looks like you are moving along well! Wish I coud join you especially as I am 10 days out now. The army moved up our deployment date so it ruined a bunch of plans that I had for family and girlfriend ect to come into town for a deployment ceremony. Go figure the army to be wrecking people's personal plans last minute...oh well! Keep biking! We'll do a ride when I get back! Enjoy the warm weather!
From one traveler to another Jared, We are excited for you! There is so much to see in this great country, and then, much more to see on the other side of the oceans and seas. Good luck to you, and safe travels.

A bicycle tour of the U.S. East Coast. Key West to Canada and a great adventure in between. The smell of sea salt and automobile exhaust and the long open road that lay out in front of me.... full info
