Great blog Hi James,
Great blog, very informative with some lovely photos. Fay and I are always talking about going there and this has spurred us on. Perhaps next year? Speak soon, lots of love Dad XXXX
Great ending..... Awesome read again! I have followed this journey from the beginning and have thoroughly enjoyed reading all about your exploits and seeing all the pics. Going back a few blogs I was quite concerned when James had his little accident on the moped, I have now reviewed the extent of this concern having read in this last blog how he enjoyed watching Utd lose the Champions league final!!!! :-D
Bed bugs, bicycles and big fruit! Hi guys,
Did it in one sitting! Glued as ever, and dont think I will share with Ian the delights of living mattresses with Thailand coming up. I have kept every one of these, and look forward to going back to them again and again. xxx
The Bus Ride Yep, the bus ride to Borobodur was pretty hectic, but I would say the taxi ride back from Yogyakarta airport to the hotel upon my arrival was probably the scariest this thing I have ever done. We seemed to spend more time on the right (wrong) side of the road than left, and the driver was playing 'Chicken Dare' with the oncoming motorcycles. We survived, but I'm not sure how.
So lovely Another glorious blog, making me want to explore all the places you two have visited. The trip may have ended but clearly the memories won't xx
Business ideas Since foreigners are not allowed to own land in the Philippines they usually lease them from the locals or if you marry a Filipino/a. Or you guys can set up a corporation to run a resort that way you can have some income while living in your dream beach hideaway. If the kind of transport service gives you any indication, a much more roomier modern vehicle would surely have a good market in the island that might complement a bed and breakfast. Awesome adventure BTW. Cheers !!!
More places to go.. or not! Even tho you've told me about the trip to the lakes, reading it makes me realise it's one place I am not likely to ever see! The journey sounded appalling, ut as ever the places you saw are incredible, and I love the sunsets x
Another psychology groupie... A very honest depiction of Manchester James...I too am unfamiliar with many of the city's major landmarks embarrassingly enough! oh well, as a soon to be resident again I may well use your blog as a guide.. Who needs lonely planet! Hold on to those journalism aspirations! xx
