Flying over Bordeaux, FR did not look like much, in fact Seth was giving me the "what have you got us into look" as we touched down. However, after immediately locating our luggage and hopping the correct bus into town we were in the city center of Merriadaque and everything was great. The hotel ibis was nice and spacious and a short walk to the river. We located all the major have to see monuments quickly as we strolled through town relaxing to the many fountains and great weather. The cafe's were just as delicious as Paris, and we found a local fountain overlooking the river where all the locals hang out and walk through the water to cool down. It had gorgeous streets and a much more relaxed city personality than Paris making it a ... read more

That's it, our final day in Paris. It has been full of adventures, and good times. Today to finish our the trip we visited the Louvre and scored a free ticket from a guide walking by so it only cost 10 euros fr the both of us. Seth observed that a city is a city no matter what country it is in as we observed people riding the tube (at least that's what they called it in London). Shortly after we arrived back to our hotel to relax and prepare for the big trip tomorrow to Bordeaux (even bigger after Easyjet destroyed my suitcase so that it is gimpy with only on wheel and makes a ton of noise and is very hard to drag behind you now). Onto Bordeaux to relax a little more drink ... read more

Our day started off with getting to the Louvre(especially nice t try and avoid the midday heat) only to find out it is closed on Tuesdays. So, it was on to the more accessible art fashion and shopping. After being disappointed at the Louvre We found ourselves heading towards the Marais neighborhood through streets filled with cafe's and stores, surrounded by old church's and monuments of the city. After hitting a couple stores (ahh, air conditioning), and walking around a bit we found a great picnic area near Notre Damn Cathedral. This picnic quickly became invaded with 40-50 french kids running a screaming around us (a feeling of home, sans the language), shortly after we made our way into the Cathedral to admire the Gothic Architecture and stained glass windows. From one isle to another we ... read more

Bonjour from Paris. I can see why so many great writers and painters came here for inspiration. Getting here was quite an experience, once in Luton airport we went to check in and found both our bags were over their 20kg weight (doesn't translate to the 50lbs we had skimmed by on in Reno apparently) so after playing a game of what can we get ride of and shuffling as their over-the-weight fees were quite exorbitant) we managed to skate in at even weight. We arrived fairly late in Paris to Rue de Abyssess after deciding not to take the advice of the information booth (good choice on our parts we would have wound up in St. Germain). After getting checked in and again hiking many sets of stairs with luggage we were settled in and ... read more

What a day! We started off with a light breakfast and then headed straight for Stamford Bridge. After a few train mishaps, a lot of trains are closed on weekends to make way for refurbishments ahead of the olympics next summer, we made our way to Fulham Broadway. Up the stairs and an exit out of the Underground the first glimpses of the Bridge are a dead giveaway of where our destination lies. The tour was complete with home and away dressing rooms, the press room and a trip to the manager and player benches. After the tour a visit to the museum completes the experience. The Bridge is a truly remarkable football stadium, however the pitch is smaller than one would think, but it still is something to behold. A little tid bit of info ... read more

After circling London 3-4 times in an airplane waiting for clearance to land, we made it to our hotel after a couple wrong turns. Shortly after arrival, our second winds (aka: the Pub on the corner) kicked in so we took a walk down the road and found our way to Buckingham palace. Within blocks the rain started holding a jacketless Seth hostage under a beautiful tree, however after a couple minutes we could be held back no more and Seth bravely trudged forward to the gates. It was beautiful, apparently, though I think I am a princess this does not gain me access inside the palace so pictures in front were what we got. After a couple clicks of the camera Seth caught a pick up match in the park across the street from the ... read more
