In Awe Wow, you inspire me! The picture of Sarah smiling through the golden It's Yoga seal brought tears to my eyes. Fair play to you both for taking this adventure of life to history-making levels.

See you 10th week!!

Carla

Memories Sarah and Benji,
Glad all is going well for you guys and the visas are now in place. The photos of your hike up Table Mountain brought back good memories of my trip to the top via the Funicular, 20 years ago during a rugby tour. It is a certainly a breathtaknig view from the top and a beautiful place.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Lair in a couple weeks. We won't arrive until Sunday due to the kids' big season ending swim meet. See you up there.
Cheers,
Gary Hein

Rock on! Thank you so much for this great inside look- we've been talking about these situations in my 10th grade class recently, and the students are fascinated by the idea that one person could hold so much power. I love that you're getting to see such solidarity!
Salaam, Peace, Paz WE MISS YOU GUYS SOOOOO MUCH!!! We are saving our little pesos to try and get to visit you guys soon!!! Keep us updated on the deals!
Love,
Nancy and Amir
shalom havarim hey ben and sarah...
You'll be in my thoughts today as I meet up with Dr. Khalil for our first ben-less "protocal" meeting. But, I'm sure you'll be happy to know, the meeting is taking place at Zeitgeist in the true spirit of Tito-beer!!!

Living through the two of you... Hi Ben and Sarah,
My apologies for not posting sooner, but I want to know I’ve been lurking and peeping your updates whenever possible and love the fact that I’m seeing you in very familiar places and loving the fact that we'll have some shared experiences to connect around when you return.
Things are hectic here, but in a good way. You'll be delighted to know that we'll host a ground breaking ceremony for the Living Classroom (now the Eco Center) in two week's time and that we've got an amazing Interim E.D. in place, David Katz who's doing lots of great things to help the team.
I was just speaking w/ a former colleague this morning who is headed down to SA in September, so I’m starting to hook her up, should you come upon some wonderful adventures that I've yet to learn of them please share them w/ me, as I’ll head back down there myself before too long.
I've got to run, but will try to post more frequently from here on out.
Love that you're appreciating SA!
Be well. ;)

Give it time Hey guys! Much love to you both! If I can offer any humble advice it would be this: give it time. As YOU so aptly said, you've got to make your own community there. You know, you get there, you LOVE it, then you start to REALLY miss home. Getting past that part is key. So, just give it time. Keep making connections with people! You're both so wonderful and amazing, so it shouldn't be difficult but i can totally relate to the feeling of just wanting comfort, those people that know you through and through. Well, we're always here for you, just a click away. I love you both so much.

I think it is amazing that you are expanding the meaning of home... Hello, gorgeous people-
Despite the lack of intimate contact we have had in the last few years, I must say, reading about your adventures in life, love, and laughter has brought great joy to me and entices me to respond this very moment. Knowing Sarah as I have since we were young women at Cal and loving Ben as unconditionally as I have Sarah since Day One, I think what you two are doing is essential...not only to learn and grow together, but show other countries (or continents for that matter) that Americans can be focused on sharing love, spirituality, and knowledge, rather than predominant violence. I understand the desire to be back home in an utterly comfortable place (as B-Love as I do most days), but you will always be able to easily return to this community. We'll be waiting for your return, but vicariously living through your adventures until you are back home in the Bay Area. Much love and big hugs from Mara and Brandon.
I loved you're "Hectic" Adventures! I loved the pics, the video and best of all, you're stories! It sounds like you guys are having wonderful adventures and are meeting all kinds of new friends. I guess some things never change! We send our love and prayers and wish you health and happiness.
Smell O yeah, I forgot to mention in my e-mail that I totally smell your scent on me. (Sarah) It's a combination of Calvin Klein's Obsession, the barn, incense, cigarette smoke, and you. I don't know why, but the way I smell today is all you =) And every time I get a whiff of it, it makes me think of you and miss you more. I LOVE YOU BOTH!

Enjoy the Adventure I have been living away from San Francisco for 15 years and still refer to SF as home. You will never lose your Bay Area community, they will always be there whenever you return as I always find out. When I first moved away it was always my intention to come back, it was especially strong within the first year. But I think, as you develop your community, you will start to really see your home away from home and the temptation to come back earlier will slowly fade. You will never lose your connection to SF and as long as you keep that in mind it makes it easier to stay.
Love to you both,
Jeff
Jeans I wore Ben's jeans today. The grey ones that I borrowed after I jumped into the pool in the polka dotted dress. It brought back good memories. A fun time for sure!
You have a good message. And as Bill and I are here in Seattle, we miss our good folks. Learning to cope with the fact that we actually love these cool people and truly miss them is a skill we are learning together. Coping. Making the time you spend with people worthwhile is another skill we are developing. Being appreciative of the little things like the grey jeans and how I came to wear them is natural.
It's good to be there.
It's good to be here.
It's good to know we have the choice.
Peace be with you.
much love ben and sarah,
Just wanted to let you guys know I miss you mucho!!! I respect you so much for "truly" taking on this adventure. You should both be very proud of yourselves for your courage!!!
Reading your blog has been funny, inspiring, and very thought-provoking... I get so excited any time there is an update.
I wish you both lots of luck, and send all kinds of love from SF
peace and love to the team with a whole lotta chutzpah

VALENTINES DAY IN JAPAN On Valentines day women give chocolate to men. Sometimes it is girichoko, which means obligation chocolate, which in turn means simply the obligation for women to give chocolate to men. So I will get chocolate from a few women at work that I have a friendship with and of course the manager of the school I work at, who is a woman will give me chocolate.
Then on March 14 the whole process reverses. It is called white day and men give chocolate to women. Same style as above mentioned.
