Welcome back Stom family,
Since I am reading this on Sept 3rd you must already be back in Minnesota.
Welcome home! Hope to talk to you and see you soon.
Can you believe we are the parents of a 21.75 year old, a freshman in college and a freshman in high school!!!
SCARY!!! How many more years of school do your kids have?
Terry :)
Rolf Harris If you think that "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport" was - err, "memorable", you shoudl hear some of his other hits. His version of "Stairway to Heaven" (I kid ye not) is seared in my memory. Apparrently one of the drawbacks of growing up in England was hearing his latest piece on the radio. Rolf - another Australian contribution to global culture :)
thanks Thank you, Stroms! We have very very much enjoyed the tales of your travels! What a great adventure for your family! Thank you for sharing it!!
(I'm sorry to hear you have to come home)
Best--
Julie
There should've been a hasmet warning or something like that at the beginning og this blog!!!!!!!
Thanks, I've been shivering all day trying to get that picture out of MY MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's some of my birthday suggestions....C O M E H O M E ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !...LOVE..Ma
Another shitty day in paradise then I'm so sorry you are having such a miserable time. The white sandy beach, idyllic beach hut, sunshine and turquiose sea do all look too much to bare. Swap you for my London City office, sweaty tube and stress at work immediately??
Coming Home? Hi Guys, Wow! I can only imagine what your first morning will be like, when you wake up, and wonder what the heck have I done , who stole the beach, what? I have to go to school? I was getting a fine education exploring the world! Anyway, yes this is mundane, but I was curious, and wondering if Andy is interested in signing up for soccer, there is a few spots left on teams, they start practice already this week, but didn't want him to miss out if he was interested. I'm sure you could contact Kenny park by e-mail if you still have access to it. Sorry for the dose of reality, now get back to the beach! Bridget
You staying there or what? You never did answer the question if you are putting your house on the market. You need us to mow the lawn and put up a "for sale" sign? I mean-your friends could help ;-> just give me the go-I'll take care of things for you! Love you guys-keep having fun. No pressure but we are all living vicariously through you!
But really...can I be Ginger? I always had to be Marianne or Mrs Howe.
Thailand adventures! Hey Strom Family seems like you guys are really enjoying your big trip! I would have loved to pet the tigers with you! I am super duper jealous. One comment about the pics of the kids, isn't it four wild animals? Hope the rest of your trip goes well!
On a more personal note, for the kids good luck in school! you guys will have to keep intouch with me while I am away! Im leaving for school the 25th of August! Thanks so much for the pics of the Platipus! I will be back in MN later in November!
Wayne and Ellen, this trip was such a cool way for your kids to learn more about different cultures and see more of the world! Im extremely jealous!
Hope to see more entries soon!
another adventure Hey guys, how are you ever going to acclumate to your life back in thrilling Mpls? Or, have you enrolled in homeschool, and just continue your adventure? I hope you make it back home at some point! The slide shows, say come mid January, when it.s too cold to go outside sound nice. Are you watching the calender , anyone? See you soon, enjoy the rest of your time! Bridget
Paddeling Hello to all Strom Family Folks,
First of all your travel blog is a wonder to behold! I am learning things (through your adventures) that I never knew about. For example the Songthaew and the mummified monk. Fantastic! I just returned from a much shorter trip to the BWCA. I was practicing paddeling a canoe. So we are both working on similar life skills. Keep up the posting to your blog. I want to continue reading to find out what happens next. :) from Ms. Hunter
Happy Birthday Andy Wow! Wonder where u are now. Aug. 2 here-Happy birthday Andy! What a wonderful trip. Thanks for the blog. Zach and Alex + 2 friends visited farm and were excited about groundhog, coon, o'possum, mole--sounds tame to what you're experiencing.
Take car, Love, Gra'ma Sarah
Lunch in Emporium, Bangkok, Thailand with the Strom It's was such a pleasure to meet up with adventurous Strom family! Glad to see them trying different types of food with great appetite and great joy. Unfortunately, we could not meet up for another meal togather. I am thrilled to see all the exciting pictures of elephant rides, patting the tigers, visiting the temples, and riding the tuk-tuk! What a journey for the family and for us, the readers.
July 27th ,2009 You all made it this far and it sounds like so much fun. Do you miss the RV???? Hope all is well with you guys and you are safe and healthly. The pictures are awesome! Thanks so much for sharing your vacation with us. Take good care, Kelly and Scott
Happy B-day! Happy Birthday, Andy! I think I have that correct - August 2nd, right? That's the day after 'uncle Mike's birthday'. He's going to be OLD! Wayne, you aren't far behind him. When I read your blog and look at the pictures I feel so good about taking our kids to Alabama, California, Florida, South Dakota, Arkansas, Illinois, Wisconsin. Kaylee thinks our vacations are pathetic. Next time you go somewhere do you want to take her along??? Enjoy the rest of your summer. Terry
Good to see you Looks like more interesting adventures! You kids are definetely going to need an entire day for "how I spent my summer vacation" show and tell! How fun to have lunch with Mrs. Tsao in her hometown! Looking forward to more! Have fun! What's your favorite thing to eat there? Bridget
Hello Stroms! Really loving the Blog - hooray for technology and great to see the pictures. All looking great, what a fab time you are all having. Really jealous to see the Thailand pictures - one of my favourite countries too. Don't let the bugs biteXXSarah
July 2nd,2009---July4th,2009? Looks great you guys. How was the 4th of July over there? All the water and the public swimming area look wonderful. That is one place that Scott and I have not been to. Hope you are all well and over the whole MJ and FF, like you said. Take care and keep in touch. Your blog entries are great! love it. Kelly and Scott Wood
Happy Summer to you all! hey you guys, sorry about that last entry, but it was sent before I was done. We are thinking of you all and it sounds and looks like sooo much fun. Take care and be safe. Kelly and Scott Wood Colorado!
female sense I think it makes perfect sense to not want the kids in the front seat by the passenger airbag, but feel that they are safe lying in the beds while you drive. Female sense really is the only sense as far as I'm concerned.
Stay safe and keep having fun. We just spent the coldest week in July history at our cabin. Australia and Thailand sound pretty good right now.
