Homecoming!!!! Well Jane and Geoff, what a wonderful experience!!! You should be so proud of what you have both achieved out in Pakistan. Looking forward to seeing you back at Coundon Jane and listening to your stories. Have a good journey home and see you soon. x x Julie x x
I've enjoyed reading your blogs, Jayne - and looking at your most interesting illustrations. This your final edition provides an excellent conclusion to the whole series. Plenty of material, too, for use in the future!
We look forward to welcoming you on your return, [though you both must deserve a good rest, first!]
All my best wishes to you both,
David

Jo (sorry about the caps lock on!)
Hello Hi Jane, I can't believe you'll be back in blighty soon. You certainly don't need to worry about about being too hot here-we've had our summer-3 days last week!! We're back to the rainy season now. Update on the book sale, it's on Friday after school, so as soon as I know how much we've made I'll email you so you can get some more resources for your schools before you return home. Enjoy the final part of your adventure-we're looking forward to seeing you again.

‘new message/comment’! There, that title should keep you happy... (think about it).
You're right of course, time really does fly by when you're enjoying yourself, and what a shame your experience has to come to an abrupt end. Still, it's something you can tell your grandchildren all about - presumably you'll be putting together some sort of 'photo album of all the stuff you've taken pictures of. Now that will be something for you to cherish!
Enjoy every minute of your last few weeks and we look forward to seeing you again - good excuse for a night out!! Oh yes, there's still a place for you at our yoga sessions...
Take care,
Tony.
Liked the photos What a shame your adventure is to be brought to a premature end. How quickly time goes by - it doesn't seem all that long since you left. Still, we'll all look forward to your stories (over a bottle of wine perhaps?).
Actually, we've been pulling your leg - we've won the lottery and all handed our notice in, so you'll be on your own next September. AND you've shot yourself in the foot because we can see how well you can cope in difficult conditions... Ha, ha!
Love Tony.
homecoming Hello Both
What unhappy news just as things were going so well. It will of course be great to see you again. I certainly shan't be bored! My mum thinks you could do talks for the W.I. !!! That might put you off returning.
Love Lesley (and John)
Book Fund Hi Jane, I enjoyed reading your blog as usual. Just to update you on the fund raising for books, school council have agreed to hold a book sale on the birthday of Anne Frank. So hopefully it will be a success.
Keep you posted.
Love Grace
hi So glad you made it safely back, so did we! It was great to see you . Love the blog entry. Don't forget you promised to take pictures in the garden and on your walk! Love Judy xxx
Ideas for Fundraising Hi Jane, it was lovely as always to read your blog. Molly has come up with an idea that she is going to take to school council: children bring in books that they have read and no longer want and sell them in a book fair fund raiser, with all monies raised being donated to your library fund. I'll keep you posted and hopefully we'll be able to contribute enough money to buy some much needed books. Keep the blogs coming, we all look forward to them.
Lots of Love Grace, Molly and Liz
Journey to Lahore I think it's great that you have the opportunity to visit these places in Pakistan...It's like no other country!!! The journey to Lahore should take around 6-8 hours by care but it is a fairly dangerous one. I have heard stories of cars being stopped and people being robbed from. My advice would be not to stop at all on the journey!!!
All I want for Christmas is a weeding... Such is the life of any Punjabi, or for that matter any Pakistani nowadays. Good descriptions, nice photographs and all in all an interesting post. The 'shaadi' season in Punjab is all about being loud and extravagent and joining in the festivities. Some like to dance, others sing, while some just watch as the procession goes on. Christmas time is after all, all about celebration. In this part of the world though, it's all about the weddings.
Keep up the good work!

Salam from a norwegian-pakistani Hello
Glad to see western travellers in Pakistan. I hope you people are enjoying time in Pakistan. It would be fine if more western travelled to Pakistan.
Regards
Adnan
Inspiring Hi Jane and Geoff, What a long way you have come from sticky Jane's - love reading your blog - makes me feel I need to get out there and see a bit more of the world - weddings sound fantastic and fun - good recipe for over here I would say - which incidentally is about to be hit by winds from Russia - you've picked a good time to go what with the coldest winter for 13 years and the credit crunch - bet the FTSE price index doesn't even enter your thoughts!! Will continue to read about your antics keep up the good work - maybe they are ready for an elderly nurse!!
Love
Jo
Hi there, I was just wondering what organisation you work for? I am wanting to do some charity/volunteering work in Pakistan, which I plan on travelling to in November but don't know how to go about looking for organisations that you don't have to pay to work for. The work you are doing sounds really intertesting, look forward to hearing more,
Becca
Greetings from Cov Hi Both
Lynne and I have just been reading your latest missive. Fantastic descriptions of the wedding ceremonies and your input and role. All sounds really good to those of us stuck here on a gloomy January day. Keep up the good work and let us know about your fundraising. Love to you both, Lynne and Lesley xx
I will stop moaning I have loved seeing this blog and I am going to try to show it to my class.
It breaks your heart to see the lack of buildings and resources, and teachers of course.
Keep up the good work!
