Happy about those trees! Yes, yes I really am. The ipad on the head just cracked me up....I would never cope being shoved and pushed around like that (plus the pee on the shoes) - I barely cope at Sandton City doll!
Returning to places you have called home Hi guys... good to see you had a great time in SA. Cape Town looks truly beautiful, the beaches lovely...and the views from Table Mountain are stunning.
I found it interesting to read your thoughts regarding returning to a previous "home town", particularly one where a lot of memories are forever linked to features of a city that make you love living there. I'm glad that most of the differences you observed are for the better...
The food looks delicious! Hi guys, enjoyed this blog very much. I think the only way to curb the palm oil plantations is to boycott companies that use it in their soaps and cosmetics... there have been a few campaigns here (in Australia), but not very successful ones. I loved your solutions to the world's problems :)
Cheers
Ren
Hullo Ren Thanks for feeling the palm oil thing with us! Sorry for the late reply to your message, we are in China now and internet connections are quite limited.
We have been following you around Cambodia and have noticed that things have changed a bit there too since our last visit in about 2009. They have some very serious social problems to overcome, but the Cambodians seem to be quite resilient and resourceful and we loved their positivity when we were there. I hope this has continued. Unfortunately we will not make it back there on this trip as we are so running out of time. Wish we had the luxury of time to do it the way you are!! Enjoy your travels!! C
We so agree! Very astute observations about Boracay. We have been going to Boracay over the last 6 years and have witnessed it's steady and (over the last year) more rapid decline. Anyone who says otherwise must be looking at it through rose-tinted glasses, as Boracay now doesn't even rank in our Top 20 of SE Asian beaches. There are a lot of Filipinos with good intentions but you are correct in that nothing will come to fruition because of the money factor involved and rampant corruption. Our last blog for Boracay highlighted similar issues to you have here and that was a year ago, it seems like things have declined even more.
Manila belly ! Hi Guys, Loving your travel blog, even following it from gorgeous Thailand !
Bit shit about the food poisoning AK - hope you are ok now. Reading this blog is like the special edition of lonely Planet ! Cheers Francis and Shan.
Peace How lucky were you both to have experienced such peace and beauty after your previous trip? I LOVE YOUR BLOG and miss it when I have no internet.
Lucky lucky you! Such an inspiration to travel. XX
From Rob Frikkin' hell - it makes Joburg sound positively heavenly!! In fact I went onto JHB city centre (outside of the revamped hipster spots) on the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Really enjoying the blog!
Your longyi is gorgeous... Hi there...Corbie, thanks so much for walking us through the streets of Mandalay, your encounters with some truly special locals and master crafts-men/women, the food! and the beauty and colour you\'re discovering as you go - even with dust up your noses and around your toes. We are really enjoying reading your blog - you write beautifully about the experience and the little details (that you\'ll be so glad you\'ve recorded). Looking forward to your next entry already...
Wow I am so much loving this blog! Your writing is incredible Stoffs, I feel like I have been on your journey with you and always a little sad when I reach the end. Keep traveling my friend and writing. Please. BTW you are looking HOT girlfriend!

Loving it. The Internet connections can get frustrating, but we're learning our way around things. Always more than one way to skin a cat. In Yangon now so hopefully will catch up on last week's travel news. Wifi today seems quite good.
Hope London is not too grim. I hear you've had some snow at least.

Success! Your pics of the islands were worth the wait...looks fantastic, did the "adventure style" pool meet expectations? Keep the blog posts coming...they are terrific! Happy travels...
Good one guys Nice one travellers - we will follow the blog closely, so keep it going. With the way the Rand has collapsed, this is the only way we can afford to visit these places.
Re pics Sorry!! Will repost pics when we have a better Internet connection. Am having trouble with the size of my photos and the iPad download for travel blog. Will sort soonest xxx
