Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, my home town, was famous for many things: we had the flour mills, the lake where Chief Sleepy Eye and his band camped and traded with the white man and Corn Days in August. I was raised in the beer business, working in our family company and growing up with friends and lots to do. Favorite hobbies as a kid were basketball, muskrat trapping, building forts with my buddies, riding my bike to the lake to go fishing and Boy Scouts.
