seems like thai cooking has no secret...
I love the sarong. I don't know how it would look on London bridge or the Northern ine but definitely elegant
Bises à tous les deux.
Cabbages and Condoms You're making me very envious.
If you're in Bangkok again I recommend the above restaurant - it's a lot better than it sounds
See you soon ho, ho, ho

Wonderful Imagery Steve - It is wonderful to sit here (in an office you will remember in Southampton) and read of your bits being greased like a Turkey's giblets. Beautiful imagery from the subcontinent ... and India.
I meant to say.... Just caught up with your journal - great pics. I forgot to mention not eating in posh hotels, especially from buffets but generally - it's what i call the death by buffet syndrome (DBB). Whatever you do don't eat from the buffet at a nice hotel! Go down the road to a formica table top, stainless steel glasses and banana leaf plate type of establishment for food that won't kill you. Sorry to mention it so late. Glad you're having a good time. Say hi to my sis (have you found out that you all went to Royal Holloway yet?) I'm enjoying the travel blog so keep up the good work and if you say where you'll be going next I'll try to remember some restaurant recommendations to make up for my tardiness
Great! Hi Linda and Steve
Fantastic that you have arrived and seem to be enjoying it - already experiencing the joys and pitfalls of rickshaws - hope you were ok?! The temple photo looks amazing - a far cry from the view of my monitor and the brick wall, behind where you once sat! Well keep having a great time, have many adventures and keep us all updated! Your somewhat jealous colleague (!), Zeph. x x
What, no Taj ? Come on guys ! You haven't mentioned heading to Agra to see the Taj Mahal yet ? Don't miss it ! Heading to Amritsar sounds like a certain Satvinder may have been influencing your decisions! Enjoy the subcontinent. It's a place nobody ever forgets.
Steve and Linda are travelling through India, Thailand and Cambodia during December 2005 and January 2006. If we don't get dysentery, fall down a crevasse or get run over by a motorised rickshaw, we'll be updating this blog as often as we can.... full info
