China As your travels are coming to a final destination, your worldly enlightment appears to touch on a longing for home but to live in hearts we leave behind is not to die. You put a world of color in the minds of your readers in describing the travels, countries, people and events that happen along with a personal touch of your life to the life of places you are in. You appear to be so adventurous and I hope this trait stays with you in your future. We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark. The real tradegy of life is when an adult is afraid of the light. Remember, everything is but a path to something other than itself. Enjoy!
An ingenious title and play off a movie title Again, Stephanie surprises and surpasses all expectations of what she'd write about and how she'd experience another new country in her sojourn into another world. She has such depth, passion, detail and humor that perhaps she is better fit as a travel agent than a student. I totally enjoyed this blog as well as her other blogs of travels arounf the globe.
vietnam Your writing, if possible, is getting more polished and fascinating by the minute. Like you, I have shot a weapon; I even had to take apart a rife and reassemble it within 1 minute. The motorcyle scene was exactly reminiscent of Malaysia; there, three or four people rode at a time, especially noticeable amidst horrendous and scary rainstorms. Loved the whole elephant ear fish eating episode and your 1000 most must see experiences at the Rex Hotel. Your silk dress mandate for the Ambassador's Ball made me weep with envy. Awesome read. LU
Cruises are the best I was just reading your blog and agree with you on so many things. I've been on four cruises and I love them!!! I've also been to the Atlantis Hotel and I thought it was incredible. It's so huge, and like you said, very expensive. I never really noticed any movement on the ship until my last cruise. I guess the waters were really rough for a few days because it was really bad. They actually closed the pool down a few times because the rocking of the boat made waves in the pool and water went everywhere. It was pretty amusing to swim in though, you'd be on one side of the pool and then the ship would rock and the wave of the pool would thrust you to the other side. But I just wanted to leave you a comment. Feel free to check out my blog if you would like, it's all about traveling and includes a blog about cruises and Nassau. http://janelletravels.blogspot.com/
I enjoyed reading your blog!
I told you about those wild dogs. I'm glad you felt the heat was as unbearable as I did. You experienced adventures I never ever would have sought out. I am so proud of you. When Annie, Chris and I were in Malaysia our housing was withing earshot of the nearby mosque so regularly we were treated to the sounds of prayers at ungodly hours.
Hmph. Someone else blogs on.
oops Haha. I actually had it written that way originally but in the options to choose your location they had it spelt that way so I went back and changed it. I should have known better. Thanks though for checking out my blog...glad to know someone is reading about it.
Malaysian island It's Penang Island, not Panang :) and you get to spend a semester at sea? Lucky you. Wish we've got our own programs like this in Malaysia. Have fun and safe journey to ya.
Hi Dear Friend,

Regards,
Naveen Kumar
I insist that upon your return you write to 5 magazines, send them a sample and try to sell your writing. Many would love to hear of semester at sea adventure. I'm not being an aunt; I'm talking as a reader and would-be adventurer. love you
absolutely fascinating read, and that includes the India section. You have all my preconceived notions in your head. You truly have enriched your life by all your experiences and observations. I'm in awe, especially when I compare your life with my weekend big decision as to what movie my friend and I will see or my laments about losing all our volleyball games. love you. Loved your postcard
