Sounds wonderful Apart from the snoring locomotive, this all sounds great. I can't wait to hear about Austria, somewhere I've always wanted to go but never managed to. Lots of love, and I'm counting the weeks, that is until I start counting the days.
Ahh! I honestly felt (and wished) I was back in Switzerland as I read this blog. I agree - Bern and Seville were some of my favorite towns in Europe. Vienna and Strasbourg were high on my list as well. LOVE the snoring story, hahahaaa... We spent yesterday at the cottage with the Revies and the Seamans - we missed you guys :( Pat stayed in Ottawa today and went to Mexicali Rosas with Anne and Gregg for dinner. They were served by my youngest sister Maddie who works there! Hahaha, our families always seem to find each other in the most unexpected places. xoxoxo
Inter-snore Great blog once again! Switzerland is definitely a jewel which I hope to see soon.
You might have been on a Swiss "Just-for-laughs" skit with the Porsche driving Gorilla. Who know... :)
Snore? No one snores in our house Nice blog. You guys and your trains. You can tell trains are not a Canadian thing or we would'nt get lost as often. Switzerland sounds like fun. $12 is not bad for MacDonalds. Same as France when we where there (every Sunday) it seems. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EYAUazLI9k
Barcelona A friend from work just came back from Rome, Barcelona etc. Thought Barcelona was the best. Great pics as usual. Missed you on fathers day, especially getting a present from you, but if you call that should make up for it.
Tapas ans Mojitoes You guys would make Hemingway look like a sissy with your experiences. We love reading your blog which will become a New York Times bestseller. Had a visit with Pat and Brit and saw where he works. Cool, like the 60's. Your photos show that you're looking well. We are looking forward to seeing you both
Love GP and GM ps Thanks for the card
Hey Guys! I was really looking forward to this blog. I definitely can relate to a lot of things you saw and went through. I'm really sad about the bad Granada experience you had, but I'm glad that you still got to see how beautiful this city is. I took that same train from Granada to Barcelona, and those seats were awful! I also really enjoyed Barcelona. You guys are making me want to go back to visit the places I didn't see. I had gone to Sevilla but I was just passing through to get a bus to go to Portugal but after seeing your pictures and hearing about how much you loved it, I definitely want to go back there.
Take care! Love you guys!
Viva Espana ! Hey Steph and Al,
I thought I recognized your foot prints in Sevilla around the Catherdral (45 degrees C when we arrived). Just got back from a business/vacation trip there and can fully relate to your blog. We did not experience the `criminal`side, but did manage to leave some car paint on the wall of an extremely narrow side street while attempting to find our hotel. (Thank goodness for Andrews blackberry!) Managed to see a bull fight and experience a unique side of Spain.
Love you both and will share other details sometime when you phone.
Stay safe and love to you both !

So nice! Hey guys, I'm glad Spain turned-out good all-around despite a few setbacks. We miss you so much!! Can't wait to see you in 2 months!!!!!!!
Love,
Shal
Love your photos! I took a very similar photo of the Eiffel Tower as well, from the underside. Very cool. I remember walking in to the Notre Dame - it was the only piece of architecture that's literally brought tear to my eyes! So amazing. Miss you guys!
Now you've gotton gm wanting to go back to Paris!! Truly it is a great city. Did you know that it is called the city of light not because of lights but because the rule of low buildings lets the sun into the heart of the city. Beautiful stuff.

So detailed! Hi Guys,
So long since we last spoke! I am so enthralled by all you've seen and done in such a short time and I have to admit a bit envious! Your pics are excellent and capture the moments eloquantly. I will be reading the future blogs with furvour. Enjoy every moment and take care!!
What a nice surprise to wake up to a blog update from you guys! Your pictures are incredible, you really capture the spirit of Paris! How nice that you were able to go into a typically French home and stay with people there. And I'm not surprised you spent as much time eating as sight-seeing - that seems to be the norm whenever you visit someone in Europe! I heard that you had some not-so-hot encounters in Granada, but I hope that the rest of Spain was better and I look forward to hearing about it. We had a great weekend. Cathy had a conference in Montreal and stayed over at our place for two nights. It was great hanging out with her. Anyways, thanks for the update, miss you tons, and have a blast in Switzerland, xoxoxo
You guys are pros and that's no con Really, the great, heartfelt, as it is, description of the travel feelings was almost as great as the descriptions of places and people. Luvyas and look forward to more-- Gp and Gm
By the way... Is that "Goodbye old adventure, Hello new one" - is the "Hello new one" supposed to subtly sound like "Hello... Newman."??
Thought you could get that by us, huh??
Too cool! Beautiful post Alexis - I found it to be kind of poetic at the same time!
We can't wait for you to get back. I look forward to getting together and hearing all about your experiences - I know that this blog is but a tip of the iceberg. Miss you guys!
I agree, so great to get another update so soon! Your pros and cons bring back so many emotions... I've felt the same way (about pretty much all those things) while traveling. And when you get home there will be pros and cons as well. On one hand it'll be so AMAZING to finally be in a nice, comfortable home amongst loved ones. Yet at the same time you'll miss the adventures and the care-freeness of traveling. Both of you are looking great, as usual. Steph, that's possibly one of the nicest pictures of you so far! Which is saying a lot, because as I said before, you look gorgeous in all the pictures I've seen of your trip! Miss you guys, hope you're enjoying sunny Sevilla! xoxoxoxooxoxo
Love the wrap-up The pros and cons list was amazing. The best part is that we got to relive previous blogs through some of the items on the list. Miss you like mad.
Hey Everyone,
