Espagnol I wish I'd started my trip with a couple of weeks if Spanish as would have come in handy! I've been muddling along picking up words as much as I can but is a slow way to learn. Maybe I'll look up some lessons to help me. Sounds like you're having a great time, stomach bugs are no fun, I had to skip going around the Ballestas today as can't trust my belly and can hardly hang my but off the side of the boat! At this pace you'll be gone for years :)
Cenotes Did you see any dead dinosaurs in the cenotes? That area is where the asteroid that wiped the dinosaurs out hit and the cenotes are concentrated in a line where the crater rim used to be.
Hi guys sounds like you are having a fab time, I\'m really enjoying the blog and it\'s making me some what envious.
Throughout your trip I\'m expecting to see you both grow quite considerably, as you seem to quite like the food and spend a lot of your time eating!
It\'s Christmas Eve here and I have three manic children bouncing off the walls. They are are excited to hear what you\'ve been up to, but I don\'t think they can get their heads around waking up in a hut in the jungle without a boat load of presents.
Seasons greetings to you both. Look after each other and stay safe.
Glad you got to do the cenotes and Chichen Itza, Chichen Itza was great to explore and we had a nice sunset when we were there which added to the atmosphere.
My mum was in Merida this year, she said it was a nice town to explore.
Have a great Christmas both wherever you are!
Seasons thingys It's grey, dark and extremely blowy here so very jealous to read your blog but glad you're having such a great time. Festive greetings not only from me but also from Eric who we have as a house guest and who is still very keen on performing "Eric's dance" on a regular basis.
Look forward to reading the rest of your adventures. Love to you both, Jan x
Over the past ten years we have travelled to over 30 countries across 5 continents and we now now find ourselves in South America where we plan to settle for a time and work as English teachers. Where? We're not sure but we're enjoying ourselves as much as we can while we try and find out.
This is our second blog using travelblog.org Our first one can be found at http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Stelen/
As with blog number one we take each entry in turn. We hope you find them useful or at least enjoyable.
