In a nutshell, I just spent a year in China teaching English, also spent a couple of weeks in Thailand for Chinese New Year. On the way home we visited Xian and Shanghai - including World Expo - which was amazing. I was completely disgusted with the way I was treated, as my immune system got absolutely smashed, the school didn't care and spent all their time treating me like absolute dirt. Of course, the men were treated pretty well. If you had another school to choose, I would recommend avoiding Daqing and Joy.
