I'm glad you go back upstairs to visit.
Sounds like you are really enjoying Cabo and feel certain you will visit again in the future. I've heard nothing but good things about the La Paz area so we are eager to hear your impressions. We are currently in Texas visiting friends in Longview. I can't remember which part of Texas you are from but when we leave here we will head to Austin to visit my cousin.

Wow, that is amazing
When we were there a couple of years ago we saw a cruise ship almost every day.
11th February 2013

no cruise ships
It really was unexpected. Here it is February 11th and I haven't seen a cruise ship all month. I guess I will get to enjoy it this way and maybe next time enjoy it the other way : )

I'm sorry to hear Gordo's was closed
Will it be open another day or has it closed down? You will love it there. I hope you can go another night. So glad you saw a whale jumping.

Gordo Lele is still open
I must have gotten there too late and it was closed. So I went back the next day and had a beef taco. I'm glad I only ordered one !

Gordo Lele's
I found Gordo Lele's last night around 10:30 but it was closed. I will try and eat lunch there today. To get to it I took a right at the Giggling Marlin Restaurant and Bar on Marina Blvd. and up about 1 1/4 blocks on Calle Mariano Matamoros and the restaurant is on the right.

Gordo's le le
I hope you can wander the back streets and find this little restaurant. You will not be disappointed. It took some finding but was worth the effort. Love the photo of you at Land's End.

Gordo Lele's
Thanks. I found Gordo Lele's location on Tripadvisor and it shows to be off Lazaro Carnitas and on a side street off of Calle Mariano Matamoros. I take a right by the Giggling Marlin and up a bit and then Left onto a side street. I guess I will go find it. Its about 9:45 PM in Cabo so that is a good time to have a look about.

Checking out Cabo
Hi William, We went to Cabo a couple of years ago and stayed in one hotel and two time shares. Not our usual but we had friends with a time share and they had been wanting us to join them. We didn't feel like we saw the real Cabo. It was rather sanitized. Anyone we found one gem among the tourist crap. Go to a small, small hole in the wall restaurant called Gordo's Le le in old Cabo. The shrimp fajitas are wonderful and the owner sings Beatles songs while you eat. He has a fantastic voice. Ask him to get the music going. You won't want to miss this location. http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Baja-California-Sur/Cabo-San-Lucas/blog-592072.html Happy travels.

Gordo's le le
I tried to read the link but all I kept getting was the picture of the crab. I'll check Gordo's out on tripadvisor and if it is walking distance from the Marina area check it out. Thanks.

Exploring Cabo
How is your room at the Cabo Inn? Glad you found the right bus. Looking forward to reading more.

Room was a bargain
The room was a bargain considering the location and quiet shaded patio's to enjoy. It was a 5 minute walk to the marina, and had a shaded courtyard in the middle where people would sit and visit. Also some dishes and microwave, sink with filtered water etc in the common area. I believe except for the microwave it is about as authentic Old Mexico as one can get. It also had a rooftop pool and library with couches. I booked it thru Expedia for $45.19 a night, $360.57 for 7 days. Some of the rooms have a refridgerator and TV but mine didn't. There is a full size refridgerator/freezer in the common area.
