Hi from home Hey Ian, great blog, what fun to be an armchair traveller on your journey. The family's coming to our place tonight for dinner to wrap up summer -- we'll miss you, but I'm in awe of your travels and glad for you that you're doing all this great stuff.
love,
Deb/Pat/Alex/Gavin
Cherating Hey ian, glad you're loving malaysia, if you're an indian food fan, it's the best place in SEa for it. I ended up going to a really small beach town north of kuantan called Cherating. It's a really laid back place, lots of locals and not a ton of tourists, huge empty beach and you can surf there. It says in the Lonely planet that time gets eaten alive there, and it's so true. there's a beach bar called mazlo/mazlan ( never really knew the guys name) he'll show you whats up.n have a great time!!!!
Hello So good to hear from you Ian....You are like Grandpa Van Dusen...A world traveller....don't know if he spent as much time in bars and drinking as you are but nonetheless you are globe trotting...Enjoy it and take it all in...Love Ya
Nimbin was definitely a crazy place! Me and Lydia went on the Happy Tour and it was for sure a happy tour! The music was really good too! We also met Rusty Harris, if you don't know him, I suggest you go to his website. I don't know it off the top of my head but if you look him up with Google you will find it. He's definitely an interesting guy!
Hey Ian! Your pictures are amazing, Australia still looks good! Sydney should be pretty cool, I hope you have a great time. Hope all is well with everything! Things are going pretty good here in the states, it's really hot though! Anyways, have a good trip to Asia and be safe! P.S. Don't cut your hair.
told you!! Hey buddy, sounds like you are having a wicked time there!! Really though... get a hair cut! The castaway/hippie look just doesn't do it for you... or does it? Maybe time for another uncut email...
Anyway, have a great time in Asia. And, I told you so about the tripod!!
Russell Crow???? Always thought you were pretty darn cute but Russell Crow???? Commoon Now! Had no idea that you were such a surfer...Hope you enjoy Singapore and anxious to hear all about it...Love Ya
hey ian, sounds like you're having an awesome time, the more I here about aus the more I want to go back. try and hit up the bondi hotel while you're in sydney. I stayed on bondi for about three weeks and it was awesome. Noahs on the hill is a good hostel. but the bondi hotel is a good for everybody night spot, and also a virtual bowling game on the top floor, I may still be number one in the top scores!!
yay, good to see you again cavernal dude!
beautiful rainbow beach, shit, I wish i would have be there with you and for your birthday and try to be nice and smily all day and drink and burp together! BUT, anyway. see you later. take care
