pair-o-rentals Glad to hear you are going to send the pair-o-rentals back at some point. It also sounds like you and J.P. have been good guides, I have had some contact with your mom and dad. Camryn doesn`t miss them at all, matter of fact we should her pictures of Kevin and Debbie and she cried. she either didn`t recognize them or they scared her. I also told Camryn that Gramma and Grampa ran out of money and wouldn`t be buying her any gifts from Australia.
good update Thanks for the more detailed update Laura, your dad`s emails to me are only one line and not always full sentences. We are truly looking forward to the pictures. Glad to hear your dad participated in the gay and lesbian parade, the one here in toronto that donna and i have gone to has over 1 million people participate. That boring sleepy little town called Peterborough in the outback describes Peterborough ontario as well.
It's Freezing in Canada Hi Laura. Rain Rain Go Away
It's good to hear you are okay. I saw your Mom on Sunday. She is really excited about her trip to "down under". Not much else happening. We are having really nice weather too. MINUS 20 and thats not including the wind chill factor. Lots of snow. Every second day I think we have had a snow storm. Okay. thats all for now I have to go shovel again.
Take care and stay out of the puddles.
Luv Aunt Diane.
no one insulted your mom christmas eve Laura, you didn`t have to worry about anyone insulting your Mom christmas eve. The shishkebobs and meatballs were enjoyed by all. Your Aunt Janie was seen sneeking some into her purse. Camryn was a bit of a disappointment though, most were saying she wasn`t very cute behind Lisa and Matt`s back. Don`t tell Lisa, it will only hurt her feelings. Matt actually recognizes the short comings.
Love, Uncle Mike
impressive Good to hear from you Laura. Impressive story, the pictures really make it come alive for us poor snow dwellers. 8 fish in 4 days, tell those boys not to give up their day jobs. It seems a rat doesn`t seem so bad when a croc is the option. How did you keep your beer cold?
Love, uncle Mike
You're Okay !!! Hi
I'm so glad you are back on the blog. I was getting worried I would be the only one who didn't know what was happening. I can see now that Aunt Bev was out of the loop too. Thanks for the email and all the new entries. Stay away from the crocs and the sharks and all the other strange and deadly Aussie animals. Keep safe and have a Happy New Year to you, JP and all your new friends. Bye for now
Love. Aunt D.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Hi
I guess I'm the only one who does not have facebook. I hope you check this and have a Merry Christmas. Miss you..
Bye for now. (I really should be working)
Love. Aunt Diane
You might have... seen my sister at the races. (Like me with long hair, but much better looking) She was there at the same time, which makes me realize how small this damn world is. Well, I hope all is well and you are having a great time not realizing what this crap we call real life is all aboooot. Hope to talk to you soon!
also testing Hi Sweetie, I have finally been able to access your blog, and have caught up on your updates. I can`t believe you enjoy that sissy game they call rugby. Your Dad once said if they were really "tough' they would play the games on pavement. I will see if this works. Bye Sheila
Hello from up above Hi Laura and JP
This is a test. I hear no one has sent any comments to your blogs. Hope all is well and please don't swim in the ocean I hear there are big white SHARKS. I can tell you are having lots of touristy fun. Hope we can see some pictures soon. That's all for now just in case this doesn't work. Oh yeah and say hi to the Wiggles too.
Luv D.
Glad you like it! My wife and I moved to Vancouver from Toronto 8 months ago. It's the BEST decision we could make. Grouse Mountain is definitely on our list of stuff to do.
Juan Valdez would be sooooo please to know how good you are at pushing his coffee beans! Glad to hear you're having such a good time -- we are all looking forward to seeing you home safe and sound. Hugs and kisses from Courticeville! :)
glad to hear !!! Well it was good to hear from you, starting to wonder where you had gotten to. We are looking forward to seeing you when you get home.

Hey Laura Hey Laura---here is a bit of travel info you may or may not find helpful...my friend's brother lives in Vancouver and emailed this below:
your friend's friends should definitely see the Vancouver Aquarium in
Stanley Park, it's a must....other then that, they could take the gondola up
Grouse Mnt. and see the grizzly pen, and a great place to watch sunset and have
some drinks or dinner, also, with the Canucks in the play-offs, they should
absolutely catch a game even if it's only in a local pub or sports bar.....the
city is Cup Crazy. Depending on how much money they have to spend, they may want
to try and scalp tickets to a game THAT would be awesome!!!. Of course there is
Whistler...taking the train up is a really nice way to get there and safer then
driving anyways. Don't bother with Capilano Suspension Bridge, it's kind of a
rip-off, and besides....Lynn Canyon Suspension bridge is free and just as good.
There are lots of great night clubs to check out if that's their scene....if
they have enough time they may want to take a trip over to Victoria.....or even
go whale watching off Tofino. That's a pretty good start, any local travel place
will also have lots of pamphlets of other stuff to do. Good Luck
I can't remember if I emailed this to you or not but wasn't sure how often you check your emails.
Love Aunt Janie

Homeless in Seattle Dear Homeless in Seattle
That bad area you referred to, take one street west of it and you will actually be in Gastown. Gastown is a very trendy place, boutiques outdoor cafes etc. The cool people hang out there. It is a lot like Yorkville here in Toronto. Your Dad and I were walking in Gastown this past summer and took one street to the east and were in that same area (Not Good). Your Aunt Donna was accosted or at least verbally abused by transients in the so called good area as well. Your Dad and I commented how one street could seperate the very well to do from the extreme impoverished. Not to scare you, but that is not a good place to be, I`m sure you figured that out by the tone of your travelblog. Good to hear you have a lead on a place to stay, I think you will be able to explore the beauty of Vancouver once you have a place to hang your hat. It would be worth your while, since you are already out there to take a day or so and make your way to Victoria. I`m not a flower kind of a guy, but there is a place called Buchard Gardens, that might be one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. Ferry is the best mode of transportation, Victoria is actually an island. I think I mentioned before, but a bus ride up to Whistler (even outside the ski season) is worth the time and effort. Stanley Park (the Stanley Cup was named after this guy as well) is a place you can explore by foot, rollerblade and bicycle. Keep having fun sweetie, and keep the travelblog coming, we all want to know what you are up to (WITHIN REASON OF COURSE).
Love Uncle Mike
Glad to hear you are alive and well. Hey there, was just asking your mom about you. Glad to hear things are moving along and that you are still enjoying life out west. Good luck with the homeless issue, at least the weather is getting better so any outdoor living shouldn't be too bad. :) Look forward to seeing you when you return. Post some more pics when you have some time. All our best love, Roxanne, Alex and Juleighanna xoxo
Homeless Above Seattle Good to hear you made it to Vancouver. I suspect you are probably the only 6 homeless people in all of Canada staying at the Fairmount.
You keep telling us you have friends out there in Vancouver, did they give you fake addresses and phone numbers. No big deal, Krystle had an imaginary friend when she was younger (actually 3 or 4 years old), her name was Karen. If you get tired of hunting down your "Vancouver Friends" you talk about, feel free to give Karen a call, she can be reached at 555-tricked ya. If things don`t pick up soon, save a quarter so you can steal a shopping cart from the local grocery store, it will prove handy in keeping your stuff you didn`t send back to Whitby together.
Love, Uncle Mike
