Thank you India I've only recently discovered your blog after my own five weeks in the wonderful country that it India. You say 'Thank you India' in the way that I feel, but cannot so easily express. Thank you.
Just thinking... ...that this is one area of India that's eluded me so far. You bring it to life with your writing and pictures, so next time maybe...!
It is not Kali in the picture Hi Shannon, Great blog. Just thought of informing you that the last picture of the hindu deity you have posted is not of Kali's but of Nataraja. Another form of Siva, the God of destruction. The creature below his leg is the demon. You can have more information here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nataraja
Good writing!!! I spend last hour or so reading your entire blog. i think you are a fantastic writer.
Will look forward to reading your future updates..

Travel Shannon, thank you for your blog. Often I send these to my daughter/granddaughter. To assure both that much is available to them, if even just reading about travels. Especially for woman. It's a big world that needs to be seen ans experienced. Again, thank you. Be well/stay safe. 'Irish'
Tears of joy Dear Shannon;
Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with me/us. I eagerly awaited every blog you wrote. Thanks especially for writing about the "low lights" as well as the high lights. Like everything in life the one allows greater appreciation of the other. For me this is especially true while on the road alone. This last entry from - this - trip to India filled me with joy to the point of bursting, and so I did, tearing up so I could hardly read! your style and open, honest writing are wonderful.
Good Luck with medical school. They will be lucky to have you!

You are very positive, you take all those things so positive about my country which other foreigners hate. Thank you for being positive.
Wow Shannon Hey Shannon, glad to hear you're having fun....both your mind and body which I gather are completely seperate?? Thanks for the details of your acid trip....lasting memories for sure. Sorry to hear about your misadventures on the......ahem......scooters (motorcycles.......really?)....I don't suppose those scooters had brakes?.....hmmmm...they might of come in handy to avoid rolling in any undesired direction....most notably backwards. I hope Chris arrived safely and that the two of you are having fun.
Shannon your experiences are amazing and I\'m glad you chose to share them with us. Remind me when your\'re home to share one with you.(your mom was with me) As I read them I feel like I\'m there with you; you have an amazing gift in your ability to write!
Love Lisa

It all sounds incredible, it's like reading a really good book! i'll be looking out for the next blog you amazing person you, enjoy and keep safe xxxx ps. what the hell is a spork? it sounds most unsavoury.
Well, you might not need a spork but I need a spork. In fact, I'm bringing a spork with me so I won't need to buy one (unless my luggage doesn't arrive, of course. Also, hopefully we mean the same thing when we say "spork") xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
my question to u hi,
my name is sachin, i met you at mumbai university with your friend sangeeta . i ask you a question at that time that how do you able to stay so disconnected to the world ???? because you dont have any mobile phone at that time and you reply me that i like it.
i only wont to say that if you are well connected to yourself you dont need to fear from any instrument (mobile) which connects you to the world. India is the land where tourist come to find them selves.
i would like to invite you to my holy land once again ...........
I am grateful every day for the experiences I have been able to have and will be able to cherish in my lifetime. This blog is currently only of my trip to India, but I do hope to fill it up with many more excursions...... full info
Keep Smiling
