Wow! I've just caught up on the posts you've made and it seems like you are (mostly) having a whole lot of fun! The pics you've shared are awesome. Can't wait to read more!
Go Anitza!! Thank goodness someone had a smart idea for you! Imagine your level of freaking out if you hadn't followed her wise advice.... :) The pictures look amazing and it's hard to believe it's so cold. No getting sick!!!!!!
Sorry about the cruddyness But I am so happy that you are really keeping up with your photos and travel blog. Thank goodness you backed up all your photos before your camera disappeared! My camera has disappeared round these parts and I am trying to keep it together before I lose my mind. I take my camera EVERYWHERE with me because I take a lot of photos and want to keep it handy for whatever. So yeah, I might just have a break down if I don't find it.
Photos have been beautiful. I also wanted to ask you, I dunno the likelihood of you finding one, but if you see a little owl, I would love it if you could send me one for my little collection of "Shalea-owls-from-around-the-world". :D Right now it sits at 2, three if you count this cute little one that I found in a thrift shop made of scrap wood bark.
Thanks! Thanks for the posts and the photos (on Flickr too). I am loving seeing and hearing about what you are doing. It's like a vitual vacation. Keep 'em coming!
Shel, I now KNOW I didn't get that adventure gene. Oh my gosh, Shel, that's SOO cool!! I would never be brave enough to do any of that!! It looks like fun, though, and your descriptions of everything are awesome! Have a great time, Cous (Cuz)!!
I´m so glad that you guys are enjoying it. I wondered if maybe she had had help, but I give out gold stars for thought and effort too!!!
Keep me posted of the going ons around there.
Do it! It´s so not as scary as it looks. I think that your fear of heights might make it worse for you than me, but it really does feel secure.
That´s such a bummer that you had to cancel Juan´s classes. Good thing he still gets the Harry Potter release for his birthday. I mean, really, what else could a boy ask for?
I´m not sure what I´m doing about pictures. First I have to figure out how to get them on a computer here. Then I will probably put the highlights here and what I can onto flickr--depending on the speed internet I have access to. I seriously can´t find the place for a USB cord on any of these computers. I feel extremely incompetent. Maybe at some point I´ll ask for help.
Great blog so far! We love your writing! But Granatee wants you to know that it (who knows why?) makes Auntie Jen emotional (yes, she even cried). Must be because we miss you already! By the way, Granatee's personal secretary wrote the email she sent you, but just the same, she deserves credit for trying. Hope you continue to have a wonderful trip, have fun, stay safe. We love you!
OMG! PARAGLIDING?! That is one of those things that I think are so awesome yet paralyze me with fear. I can't wait to see your photos! Are you posting them here or on Flickr? I will totally get you a paid account if you post them on Flickr because they will store your originals and resize them for you, like you've seen.
Anyway, I can't believe you tried getting on the wrong flight. lol You left your story off at the good part, mind you. I wanted to know what the lady said. lol
At home I signed up Juan for an awesometastic race car driving school for his bday. But then we realized that he needed to already know how to drive stick and he doesn't and didn't think he could learn it well enough to be driving a race car in less than a month, so I had to cancel it. So sad. Oh well, now he has a damn good reason to try it the next time he has a chance.
well - she's packed! I'm sitting in the middle of Shalea's living room surrounded by her... umm... what's a nice word?... stuff --- everywhere! But the important thing is that she is completely packed and ready to leave the country. Whether or not she'll ever want to come back knowing what her house looks like is another story.... :)

I just read your entire write-up, and all I can think about is the damn flute. lol
