Salam and 'merci' from Iran

After 6 months back backing around SE Asia and nearly 12 months working, travelling my way around Australia it was time for me to depart. To put this perspective. When I left Britain I was 28 and when I returned I would be 30 years of age.

My largely land route back I knew would be difficult but would at least guarantee adventure as well more countries.

I left Melbourne for the last time on June 12th and arrived back in the UK (Liverpool to be precise) on October 16th 2010.

I started this travel blog, firstly to avoid sending out over-long group emails updating everybody on my travels. You know, the ones where you feel slightly snubbed by the impersonal nature of, “Hey, everybody! (but to no one in particular)”.
