After leaving Banos, we immediately got on a plane to Lima, Peru for two days before making our way to Cusco and Macchu Picchu. In Lima, we explored two charming barrios called Miraflores and Barranco. Miraflores is an upscale residential part of the city, while Barranco has a more exciting night life; both barrios reside on the water. We stayed in the Flying Dog Hostel in Miraflores, thanks to a great tip from Willy (amazing how hot water and high pressure make all the difference). That night we had our best meal thus far at a restaurant in Barranco called Chala (see our gluttonous pictures), and Sadie also discovered the first of MANY pisco sours - like a Peruvian margarita...tart and tangy and very, very potent. Full and hungover, we flew to Cusco the following day.
