"Adorable" The animals were really adorable, except for the snake. Sorry about your camera. You were really fortunate to get it back. Can't be too careful anywhere these days. Hope you have a great weekend. You didn't mention anything about your bellyache today, so I guess you are feeling better (hope pizza was good). Love ya, Dad
the children Hi Lis!
I read and re-read your last blog, dia 11. It is so sad to see children go hungry anywhere in the world. However, they know the trust and the naivete' we have as tourists/Americans. They are charming and friendly and have those sad eyes. You were lucky to get your camera back. This unfortunately happens all over the world. It happened to friends of ours in Italy, by the gypsy children, who were working for their parents, or someone else. Keep your valuables close to you, especially on the streets and markets. The schools are safer, as they are supervised...but still be wise. It does make you appreciate what you have at home and how lucky you are. Instead of counting sheep at night...count your blessings. They are many.
Hey Alyssa! Thanks for keeping everyone updated. I'm glad to hear you're having a wonderful time in Peru! Sounds like it'll be a life changing experience. I can't wait to hear more!

glad you are better So sorry to hear that you caught the "Spanish diablo". I guess it is inevitable when eating food that you are not used to on a regular basis.
Glad you took the time to rest and enjoy your book. What are you reading?? I guess chicken soup cures everyone no matter where it is made.
Vistas are beautiful. We are enjoying your commentary everyday!!
Stay well and safe.

Incredible! I can't get over how incredible your blogs are. Should your commentary and pics be turned into a book, it would win a Pulitzer Prize. You are absolutely the best!!! All kidding aside, you really should consider submitting your story to a magazine or have it published as a "Short (long) Story." I'd be honored to pursue this for you with your approval.

trying again Hi honey,
I wrote a comment on your first day, and guess it didn't come through. Sounds like you are having a great time! The pina colada looks good. Do you get to keep the mug? Keep sending pics and info. The school looks beautiful. Do you remember in Nicaragua, they all wore uniforms, but had only one and washed it daily? Do they have more than one to wear in Peru? Does it compare at all to Nic? Love seeing my girl having a great time.
Love, mom
